In this time, people are obsessed with homosexuality and I for one, am fed up with it. Why make sly accusations about people who are long gone?
@michaelchristian50894 ай бұрын
Beside's Gable, Errol Flynn, Cary Grant & Rudolph Valentino have all been slandered as 'gay'. The most likely reason is jealousy of people who would break out in a cold sweat if the same accusation was pointed at themselves... ...probably with good reason.

There are some people, you look in their face and have a strong intuitive feeling, if they're good or bad people.....In looking at Crawford's photos, even though she's quite classically attractive, in many of her photos she looks hard, angry and even hateful..............I've no problem believing her daughter's accusations................
@paulholbrook731510 ай бұрын
For example; look at the photo of mother and daughter at 17:05......Look at the daughter; looking away almost fearfully, as if she's expecting to get slapped any second.......And Joan, cold, looking as though she finds the act of tying a ribbon in her daughter's hair immensely distastful..............In what should be a happy, loving moment, there is no connection except one of fear on the little girl's part.............
@ScarletHajek7 ай бұрын
She looks hard because she had to fight for everything nothing was given to her. As for her daughter, she believed that Crawford should make her a star. It didn't work like that. You do it on your own.

@sybildisobedience99699 ай бұрын
I’m inclined to believe her, too. I think the only reason her siblings have never backed her up is: 1) it’s no one’s business, and they probably didn’t want to be in the public eye; 2) Christina was the first and the oldest, I’m sure Joan, like all parents, mellowed out with each generation.

@@sybildisobedience9969 Christina is a scammer her celebrity is based upon crying abuse and being a perpetual victim. Like it or not, she grew up privileged in posh boarding schools and wealthy zip codes. She wasn't living in the hellish foster care system. She wasn't homeless nor was she turned over to the sex industry which, is the fate of children, who are trafficked. She's used that story to get money, fame and public office. What's she done in life w/o Joan Crawford's name? Once she dies, her children will tell the truth.

Either way, I have mad respect for all of them, and it definitely elevates my opinions about Ava & Marilyn both. While Hoover and McCarthy were trying to persecute every resident and citizen in America for being communists and/or socialists, two very influential figures in America (Vanderbilt & Marilyn Monroe) were liberals who believed in equal rights and possibly equal access to education and healthcare..??

about Crwford, it's been confirmed by many sources that Christina simplòy invented everything, and falsed all the horrible things she told about her mommie, whow as very strict woman, but never abusing her own children. it's been confirmed by people who met or worked with Christina that was a very problematic and terrible human being, and hated her mother because she was a start and wanted to be as well.

@@lbjordan5082 Crawford's son Christopher couldn't stand his mother either. He and Christina were of one mind as far as their mom was concerned, Also Helen Hayes who lived down the street from Crawford refused to let her son James MacArthur go to the Crawford's house and play with Christopher and Christina because of what James told her about what went on there when Crawford was there.

Children can have very different experiences with their parents. Just because the twin girls did not recall any abuse at the hands of their mother, does not mean that Christina and Christopher were not abused. Only a handful of people knew all that went on in the Crawford household; Christopher is one of them, and he has been curiously silent on the matter. Christina does not strike me as a vindictive or attention-seeking person, but as someone who just wanted to set the record straight, and she waited until after her mother’s death to release her book. Bette Davis’ daughter, OTOH, deeply hurt her mother by publicly her own expose while Bette was still alive. Even now, many people do not want to believe that Joan Crawford was capable of the heinous acts detailed in “Mommie Dearest”, so imagine what it would have been like growing up under the control of a physically and emotionally abusive-albeit glamorous-movie star who was idolized by millions. Just to scratch the surface: Crawford circumvented the legal adoption process, suggestive of an exaggerated sense of entitlement that is characteristic of Narcissistic and Histrionic Personality Disorder. People with such Cluster B personality disorders are absolutely capable of very malicious and covert forms of child abuse.

Lana Turner's daughter said that Lana knew about Joan, along with a lot of other actors who either weren't about to risk their careers, or didn't want to be the bad guy that hurt Joan. When the book came out, once in a while I'd see actors on TV saying they knew she was an abuser because a lot of actors were asked what they knew at the time (a nervous June Allyson, a more assured Natalie Schafer, I remember, some lesser knowns). My guess is that some of the actresses were able to "adopt" babies (June Allyson, Eve Arden, etc) because of Joan's connections. Years later, a crooked adoption ring was exposed, having kidnapped the babies of impoverished, mostly southern women, who were often tricked into signing documents they didn't understand. Allegedly, mostly rich women, including celebrities, found babies through this adoption ring, including Joan's twin daughters. Christina and Christopher's adoptions are a little more complicated, but they might have been adopted through questionable people, too. Joan reportedly adopted a girl before Christina, but the biological mother got her back. To this day, adopted children are still searching for the biological parents they were stolen from. Very few have been successful because the records were tampered with.

I dont think Marylin was kind, but I do think she was naiv and not very decent.......never the less her fans made her an Idol, I wonder why, she was not a victim, she was vane and wanted to be seen and hunted, Elizabeth Tailor was the same man eating vamp. Marylin obvius did not reject female affairs, so mourning and missing and crying is a waste of time, she has bin gone for 60 years and that should ring a bell for fans with an important lack of knowledge..... There are so few in the big picture, you can pick out as really famous and decent, but most of them got married, divorced, pregnant, and divorced again, and no matter their beauty and fame, they only remmbrers for their almost evil attitude and way of life, but they did leave tears and sorrows where ever they went, because of their bad behavior.enjoying the sweet passions of life. Hollywood did not change it is still the most ugly dunhill of fallen lives....
