Cape buffalo can and do fight back. A number of hunters and PHs are unalived by them every year. Many of these videos make it look easy. It isn't. Most men don't have the temerity to stalk within 30 or 40 yards of something that can unalive them, knowing that even if he does everything correctly, this could still be his last day on earth. Keep in mind, that angry buff can cover 30 or 40 yards in about 2 seconds. That's enough time to squeeze the bang switch just once.

It isn't the thrill, is the satisfaction, to ourselves alone, of facing mortal danger, and of being able to act with complete resolve in the face of it. If this is so off-putting to you, I have to wonder why you even watch these videos. Do you enjoy getting so upset, or do you just enjoy being a scold and want to flex your moral "superiority"?

Meh. Bison aren't nearly as dangerous as cape buffalo, and even though bison bulls are often more massive, easier to unalive than cape buffalol
