The Franklin Electric four inch motor is available in the following variants:
The single-phase version as PSC, 2-wire and 3-wire and the 3-phase version as Standard and High-thrust version. In addition, the motor is available as High Efficiency permanent magnet motor.
The motors have a standard 4-inch NEMA mounting design and a 316SS stator housing. Leads are easily replaceable thanks to Franklin's exclusive Water Bloc technology.
Franklin Electric encapsulated motors are equipped with hermetically-sealed windings. The Anti track stator resin mechanically supports the winding and provides fast heat dissipation.
The hydrodynamic liquid-lubricated radial bearings and Kingsbury type thrust bearing ensure 100% maintenance-free operation of the motor.
The high-thrust version is equipped with a spring-loaded pressure-equalizing diaphragm. The thrust load of the thrust bearing is 6500 Newton. The stator housing of this motor is made of 304SS.
The 4 inch encapsulated motors are available in the power range up to 3 kW, the 6500 Newton version up to 9.3 kW. The voltage ranges are 220/230 volts for the single-phase version, for the three-phase motor 380 to 415 volts at 50 hertz and 460 volts at 60 hertz.
All motors have drinking water approvals.
Optional there are further material versions and special voltages as well as the SiC sealing system with SiC mechanical seal and sand protection and the permanent magnet technology.
