Welcome to Fort Kochi! Kochi is located on the Western coastline of the Arabian Sea in India’s beautiful Kerala. This is our first night in Kochi. The air is warm and salty, the streets are busy, and people are out enjoying the night. After checking into our hotel, we go in search of Indian street food along Fort Kochi’s Beach Walkway. We find a variety of street food snacks, sugar cane juice, shawarma, Fuljar Soda, and more. We meet lots of vendors roasting peanuts, making fresh sodas, and even cooking up corn! We end the night with Cedar’s favorite dessert! Can you guess what Forest did most of the time?

We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, eight years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates. Three years after that, during the beginning of the pandemic, we made the move to our current teaching jobs in Indonesia. We love traveling and finding adventures as a family. We hope that our travels will inspire and provide our children with the confidence to meet new people, try new foods, and enjoy learning a new language. The traditional drink is "Naruneendi sarbath" which is made up of " Indian sarsaparilla Plant" and lemon, now most places it got modernised with artificial flavoured syrups into drinks like which you had and now they started shaking it during making and changed the name into " kuluki sarbath"

Just fyi......In India and Mexico, Peru---you can get real original corn from its original botanical genus---meaning it is not organically modified by Monsanto or Cargill Inc.......most human consumption corn in US/Canada is Monsanto and Cargill modified.
