Scalability requirements are the most difficult to discover because it is very hard to predict the target number of audience we will be able to capture and the need to process huge amount of requests in near future. But we must take care of it from the beginning when we are taking requirements. Keeping business goals in mind we must apply best suitable architecture and use design principles to make a software more maintainable. I hope it helps. Thanks for asking the question.
