Thanks for the video, I bought the 4 mil mylites and wasn't sure how to "tape" them close, so they are suppose to have the bubble top. Got it.

I never understood why they don't just pre Crease or score the top knowing full well we're going to fold it over it would be just so much more helpful

Thanks for watching! You can buy the most recent Overstreet Guide yearly publication, but in general it is a baseline guide with conservative estimates. On Ebay check the prices on the sold listings, and it will reveal if an Overstreet listing has gotten hot or weakened due to the actual sale price differential. Cheers!

Thanks! For current and most comics, 2 mil mylar with halfbacks works great! And you can fit more in your box that way. This video, featuring 4 mil mylar with fullbacks, is really only for older, more fragile, higher-end comics that warrant the extra stiff protection at a fraction of the cost of CGC. Cheers.

I'm getting the new death of woulvarine comics and I'm new to storing comics. What size milar 4 mil bag should I get and what size border for the backing. Your impute would be greatly appreciated. And what size paper for the front and back page?

If it's a current age book, then get 2 mil current age mylar bags and halfback backing boards. This will provide sufficient protection and reduce the protective bulk begot by 4 mil and full backs. 4 mil and fullbacks are great, but really only recommended for the higher end books. 2 mil and halfbacks still work very well, and you can go closer to your actual comic size without the corner squeeze begot by 4 mil. So either way is okay, but again I'd go with 2 mil for current age. In video 4 of this series, you can see my discussion of 2 mil, with a view of how the collection will look fitted into a storage box. I have found E Gerber 2 mil and halfbacks to be a pretty awesome combo for most collections. I use 4 mil and fullbacks mostly for Golden Age books. Cheers!

PHANTASEA TV Very informative! I do have a sort of off topic question. Im looking to display some of my nicer comics (Old Amazing Spidermans and some key 1 appearances) but I have yet to find a process of displaying that is effective at blocking harmful light. Do they make mylar bags with built in uv protection?

***** In this case, and for all cases regarding rare and high value books, I would recommended getting it slabbed, CGC being the most notable encasing company in this department. The slab may not block all harmful light, but it will seal your comic's grade and value regardless - so long as you don't break the seal. After you get it slabbed, there must be a way you can display it out of harmful light. Suggestions: on a wall that doesn't get direct sunlight, or you can try a shadowbox. Cheers!

PHANTASEA TV Thanks! I ended up just scanning the covers of the comics i wanted to display and just framing copies of the covers instead of the actual comics. That way my nice comic can chill in their mylar without even having to risk light damage
