I signed up and did your course, and my god the progress compared to what I was doing or, rather, not doing before, is night and day. It lays a great foundation for me, you give great tips, tricks and sensible information, presented in a methodical way, and there were so many moments I said to myself I wish I had know this and that sooner. Look forward to more modules and further courses.

For non-image heavy websites (no shops), I disagree to the method of zeroing out all image sizes. SEO benefits from other image sizes, even it's WebP already, smaller WebP = less kb = faster loading = better SEO score (working on perfection). The only drawback is your DB grows faster, your webspace shrinks faster, but don't forget we're talking about kilobytes, not megabytes as we are good people and are aware of prior image optimization, right? So I would use smaller sizes for cards, archives (articles) as these images most likely ain't super wide. Adjust the image sizes to your needs, that's important. Although, there is one con with having multiple sizes of your image. You might have more HTTP requests. This could potentially affect SEO score negative, but this is more theoretic than practical. The approach Imran teaches over years works for him, because he creates copies directly within WP ecosystem by resizing and saving different image sizes manually. This is not mentioned here, hence I still suggest keep WP do their default image resizing, rather touching every single image. At the end it all depends on the amount of images. If you have a small agency website less of 20 images, you can use each of both mentioned ways with no big difference / impact SEO wise.

Yup, and the new WebP Snippet removes the JPEG/PNG originally added which is cool for Directory sites.

Obrigado por essas dicas. Agora, qual a diferença entre os formatos de fontes ttf e w2?

Woff2 is compressed. Raleway Normal TTF may be 125kb per variation, whereas Woff2 may be 25kb.

This is awesome. Can I do all this when using Astra and Spectra? I am not using Elementor anymore. what’s the reasoning behind zeroing out the medium and large media sizes?
@websquadron9 ай бұрын
You can use these with Astra/Spectra. Zeroing the Med/Large is a moot point - as not everyone agrees with it, though I have had 0 issues ever since I stopped having them automatically created in the backend database.

They have modified some features, but I would use a Code Snippet to knock off the Lazy Load, and manually add it per image/gallery when needed.
