Hi Jennifer ~ What a gorgeous bunch of cards you've shared with us today (love the long video!!). I absolutely LOVE the Engineers Rule stamp set for my PE hubby and and architect daughter, who are both self-described "nerds" too!! LOL I can't wait to start making cards for them with this set. Thanks so much for sharing the fabulous ways to get more out of our stencils and I totally agree about the embossing pad. Everyone who has a die machine needs one of these babies because it opens up an entirely new world of creativity. I hope you have an awesome week! ~HUGS~ #kindnessmatters

this woman's consistency in her craft is amazing I have been watching her every single day for over a year multiple videos a day and I have yet to watch all of her videos I don't understand how this is possible because I binge-watch most of the time at this point I believe when I reach the end of all the videos I will cry and have separation anxiety ....although there are several videos I have watched multiple times and I'm still not tired of them 😂

There's 1 stencil technique that I stumbled on a little while ago and I haven't seen anyone do it yet, so I thought I'd share it with you. I took a mosaic stencil, the more open stencil the better, added white embossing paste. After it dries, I used Tim Holtz floral die and inked it. Once I inked over the embossed that wasn't exactly firm and made the floral stencil embossed as well. And glitter as needed! Thanks for all your fun and informational videos!

Sorry, Gina, I couldn't quite follow that sentence: "Once I inked.......". Could you clarify? :-).

Hi Jennifer, these backgrounds are just gorgeous and so elegant. These are great techniques. I'm very excited to try layering stencils with heat embossing. I'm still a newbie at stamping. I have a Versamark watermark "frost" ink pad. It has a faint sparkle with the clear ink. The label states it can be used for embossing but I haven't tried it. Do you know if the "frost" pad would add any "shimmery" element or is it more practical to use my plain clear embossing ink? I kind of hate to waste my Versamark if it's going to to end up looking the same as if I use a clear pad. Thanks for a great tutorial!

What do you use to clean off your stencil when you use the versa mark pad? Any thing different?
@TanyaOwens7 жыл бұрын
Curious Jennifer, have you considered using an electronic die cutter like the Cricut Explore Air? It would be easier and quicker to cut layered letters, etc
@carolmelancon7 жыл бұрын
I think she uses a Vagabond for most projects, but it lives in its own, cool hideaway, so she uses a manual machine just for ease of filming.
@TanyaOwens7 жыл бұрын
I was referring to the Cricut Explore Air or other electronic die cutters. The Vagabond is still a manual die cutter.
@carolmelancon7 жыл бұрын
The Vagabond IS an electrically powered die cutter. I own one, there is no crank handle, the Vagabond is not a manual die cutter.
@TanyaOwens7 жыл бұрын
The Vagabond uses metal dies, so it is still in the manual die cutting arena, whereas the Cricut, Cameo, Scan N Cut are electronic die cutters. I am not referring to electricty per se, i am referring to computerized vs steel rule die cutters hence, manual vs electronic die cutters.
@carolmelancon7 жыл бұрын
Tanya O Ah! I understand now. I have a Cameo also. Perhaps because electronic cutting machines can sometimes be finicky.
@snuzie4217 жыл бұрын
I love stencils and the look, however everytime I try to stencil I tape it down and do everything you do. I get a snagged corner on the stencil and it just doesn't work. Ok, so how do you get best results?
