I've been doing the 3rd one since my parties as a kid. It can be time consuming but it looks great. I did black and white last year for my son's Cars 3 birthday party and it looked just like a checkered flag! I made one super long one and then cut it into sections where I planned on using it. I plan on doing something like number 4 for his party this year except a ship shape maybe because its Titanic themed.
