Throughout the years there have been a lot mario games like super mario world, super mario 64, super mario sunshine, new super mario bros, new super mario galaxy, super mario 3d land, super mario 3d world, super mario run, super mario bros 3 and not too long ago they released the new super Mario odyssey for the nintendo switch which has all kinds of new characters like cappy and locations like the sand kingdom, new donk city and bowsers kingdom. In these games we have seen power ups like the fire flower, ice flower, super mushroom, mega mushroom, super star, hammer suit, spring mushroom and way more. But there were power ups that helped mario, luigi, toad, princess peach, rosalina and the others to escape bowser, the broodals, koopalings and bowser jr. a 5th boss idea: kamek would team up with bowser jr on the ground spitting fire and ram into you with his shell attack and kamek flying above using spells like damaging or spawning enemies including Bob-ombs and koopas wich you can use to damage bowser jr and later kamek will summon a barrier around bowser jr that can only break with a Bob-omb after defeating the koopa Prince kamek will pick him up and leave

You should do this with Bowser himself and later Ganondorf and I even have some ideas for both characters Bowser: 1. Bowser uses the same axe that usually ends up destroying the bridge all the time and Mario must find a way to trick Bowser into using the axe to cut down the bride by accident while dodging Bowser's other attacks but Bowser makes it difficult since he uses his axe like a boomerang and he barely jumps except when Mario is backed into a corner and even then sometimes Bowser will quickly ground pound to deal damage. 2. Bowser takes notes from some of his minions and uses a wand of his own and he shoots fire from his staff while attempting to crush Mario all the while he throws hammers at him and the sections of the bridge are moving in the process and Bowser will even teleport once in a blue moon 3. Bowser uses an upgraded version of his Koopa Klown Copter from Super Mario World that takes notes from Bowser Jr's model with Bowser's own spin on the attacks. Ganondorf: 1. He's much more elusive with his Dead Man's Volley tactics such as attempting to trick the players into making a bad move which leads to damage. 2. Ganondorf uses a shield along with a sword in order for him to use his sword completely for offensive attacks and block Link all at the same time and will even attempt to counter attack the player. 3. In his monster forms he uses his brute force and savage animal instincts a lot more while also adapting to the tactics of the player to show that despite Ganon's animalistic form he's not a completely predictable savage beast.

I have one idea that i desingned for mario and Luigi but it could work for normal mario if you just change it a little. But anyways how it works is that there is 8 koopalings if you count Bowser Jr so they can be put in to 4 teams of 2 so you would have Bowser Jr and Iggy is the same team. And then how the battle would work is that Bowser Jr would power iggy's wand with fire so they would do the same damage and after that he shoot a fire ball it the air for some reason,and the gimmick would be that Bowser Jr only targets mario, and Iggy always targets Luigi, and that is because they both are red and green, and if one of them dies the other one revives them next turn. But if junior revives Iggy then Iggy power up effect, and if Iggy revives junior then junior gets defence up effect, and when they are both defeated then phase 2 begins. Phase 2: so remember when junior powered up iggy's wand well then the random fire ball that Bowser Jr shot falls on to junior waking him up and he revives Iggy, then Iggy uses his wand (with the fire) to power up Bowser Jr so he would get bigger and stronger more orange and his eyes would glow orange, and he would attack you with fire (a lot of it), punching you and throwing huge rocks at you, and Iggy would be in the back healing Bowser Jr and giving him helpful effects and sometimes shooting you with magic. Then after defeating Iggy Bowser Jr can't be healed anymore so killing him is easyer but sometimes junior will defend Iggy so that you can't damage him, and if you defeat junior first then Iggy will be your only target and he will only attack, and after defeating both you win.

If there was a boss battle based on bowser Jr growing big it should be where he gets grown 2 times by using magic and would attempt to crush by slamming his fist to the platform,it would shake the ground abit,there should be another attack where he orders his Koopa clown to grab you.If you get grabbed bowser Jr will throw a fireball at you.If you beat him like that he starts going on a rage mode before going to phase 2.The rage mode is where he begins to throw small fireballs alot until you get hit.The 2nd(And final phase)Is where he trys to throw you off the platform your on and will stomp to shake the platform when you only have to do one hit on him left,he will grow for the last time and will begin throwing mega fireballs and slowly flipping the stage,jumping on his head will end the fight and he will get shrunk back to his normal size while he falls into the Koopa clown,Before leaving he says that he will come back again some point(I would like this type of fight for bowser Jr growing its fine if you don't agree its not a competition to see who likes a person's opinion the most)

oooo for the paintbrush bowser jr how about he slams the paint brush into the ground which will make a wave and unless you jump over it you will get covered in goop and walk of the edges of the platform and the only way to a void that is hope that you were far enough from the edge and if you don't destroy the enemies that he paints the enemies can get extra dangerous like the goombas could jump and koopas could throw there shells and if they have there shell they become invincible so yeah cool right
