Beautiful! One hint though, you are using way to much colorant. Remember to start with smaller amounts because you can always add more. The actual rule is that your shouldn't add more than 10% of anything however... There are times that we still do. If you let it sit and warm up in the containers you will have more control.

TIP!!! If you scrape out all the resin you can, then immediately take a baby wipe (or two) to clean it out, then your cup will be ready for use next time you want to use it 😉

This is a great tip, and something that I’ve learned and do all the time now. You have to remember, this was made at the very beginning of my attempts at working with resin and now I’ve been doing it for a year and a half and have learned so very much. This was the second bowl I had ever made. I have made 60 to date in the year since I made this one and have honed the process and am very happy with the results. I posted a 2.0 video on one early bowl to show the progress made in my method.

Hi just wondering if you put resin onto baking paper would that work instead of the silicone mat? I use baking paper as my work area and it works well as resin doesn’t stick on it and I can use it a few times.Haven’t tried the bowls yet!

Stunning! Can I ask how long you let the resin cure on your mat before you hung it on the vase? Also, it only took 6 oz for the whole vase? 1.5 x 4? Thank you so much!

Just FYI, the heat gun melts the silicone and then it will stick to your project. As Steve says "Never use a heat gun on your silicone"!

Yes I have learned this... I now use a clear plastic table cloth, cut to size. Works fabulously.

Silicone sheets don't like the torch. I found that out awhile back. It is just like your molds they will stick and tear. Also I have been told not to use any oil to resin it doesn't like oil. But your form is Beautiful. Love your work

Yes I do. I have small circular brass discs that have my signature engraved into them and then I stamp them with the number of the bowl.

Lovely but you used way to much pigment. About 1/4 or less of what you used would have worked. You can always add more if it isn't opaque enough for you. :)

Thank you, yes I was learning at this stage (still am really) and as I had never seen anyone actually put the pigment in the resin at that point, just guessed as to how much I needed.
