That "white stringy stuff" is the cottage cheese we make in India. It can be obtained by pouring the whole thing in a cloth. draining all the water and then wrapping the remaining stuff. Let it rest while putting a stone or a heavy thing to drain the excess water. And there you have your cottage cheese.

What’s actually on the outside of a warhead is not citric acid, in fact it is a much stronger, more acidic acid, malic acid. You can tell this because of the sour level and the fact that citric acid is generally sold in a crystalline form while malic acid is a more of a powder

Mystic Arceus I was researching a bit and like, it seems to be ALMOST the same like it's the same process (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong without being rude anyone) but from what I've gathered it seems what he made actually was a casein plastic and not paneer, because from what I've noticed is that with casein plastic it is not so much essential to remove the whey proteins, where as paneer, you would strain it through like cheesecloth to ensure that no whey is left and you are pressing just curds. (which is casein) so is that the difference between casein plastic and paneer is that one has whey and one doesn't? or if paneer sits to long will it become a casein plastic? I'm glad you commented this tbh because I was actually intrigued enough to look into it and actually learned some stuff about different polymer proteins and stuff it was some interesting stuff. If I'm wrong though please do tell me because I'd like to know what the actual difference really is between the 2 because the process is exactly the same other than that extra step of whey extraction from what I've seen

Cheeses are curddled with rennet, not with acid like this. It's just condensed sodium caseinate.
@maxrun29
@maxrun29 6 жыл бұрын
you normally use rennet but in a pinch you can use lemon juice or vinegar. its not quite the same but..........
@polyjohn3425
@polyjohn3425 6 жыл бұрын
+Anarchy-199 No, like, it literally isn't the same type of thing. Rennet is an enzyme that precisely shears the protein chains into shorter lengths and promotes crosslinking, which is why cheese is stretchy and stuff. Acids denature the proteins without changing them and cause them to clump together and coagulate. Saying they're the same is like saying papaer and lumber are the same. In the strictest sense you're not incorrect, but you're still, like, wrong.

I just saw some homemade cheese recipes online. It's not just similar to cheese. It actually is cheese. The vinegar separates the curds from the whey and then the curds are salted and sometimes mixed with butter or other toppings. It looks amazing and I want to try it soon.

For the record, in the first experiment the soda's acid causes the casein to coagulate just like in the last experiment, and as it bunches together it binds with the caramel color that coke is colored with, and drags it down to the bottom. Pretty much everything else is a small enough molecule to get left behind.

You can obtain something similar by mixing vinegar with salt/baking soda. The acetic acid from the vinegar interacts with the sodium from salt/baking soda. If you boil it and colect the foam from the solution, with time, it will harden itself. What you get, it’s a food additive that acts as a preserver.

I know it's been awhile since you've made match rockets, BUT you should make a faster way to fire them, like make some sort of gatling gun idea to shoot them off one after another a lot faster than the original match rocket gun!!!
