Did work like this for 30+ years. Buried everything from 60” concrete pipe to copper and plastic lines to houses. Open trench, bore and push casing then push pipe through it, bore and pull lines. Can be hard work sometimes but it was worth it. Retired in 2004.

I wanna see how that cap connects to the pipe with enough grab to stay connected as that pipe is drug through the ground. Especially when they pull it using a cable through the ground dry.

Add extensions to the controls and you can work it without bending over so much 😁

Great setup. One improvement but not really needed is a rubber seal or what we call an assh*le when your tripping out, gets you clean drillpipe for next job. Sandwich it between the slips and the kelly bushing.
