Because De Gea isn’t good anymore. He’s an old fashioned keeper, no skill with his feet whatsoever. Nowadays teams require a keeper who can sweep AND use his feet. But even De Gea’s shotstopping isn’t good anymore. He’s a bad keeper now who asks too high a salary. Sad, because he used to be great.
