How to make an easy task sound difficult! Is it laying on it's back or up against a wall??? Can't even get counter clock direction right! Embarrassing!

Are you doing this on a wall?? The other calibration videos from Stabila just say to turn on and press the "CAL" button, which one is correct for our IP65 ? Thanks.

The first step of calibrating the TECH 196 electronic IP 65 spirit level is to switch on the electronic spirit level and use the vial to accurately align the unit to a wall, for example, until the vial bubble is in the middle between the vial rings. Hi when I do the 4 point calibration and basic calibration one side gives me different slope percentage when I flipped it the opposite way. What can cause the level to be off by .3 after calibrating it

Hi, please make sure that you place the spirit level exactly where it was before. Also, when calibrating the four-point, make sure that the horizontal vial is as precisely centered as possible. If neither of these help, please contact us again.

While you are calibrating the spirit level, you should make sure that it always rests in the same place so that unevenness does not interfere with the calibration

Hello I attended the follow this process and for some reason after the first rotation when I hit the calibration button that does nothing just continues to Blink there's no beat to have a faulty unit?

I just got my 24” & 48” Stabila Tech Magnetic. I plan to leave these in my garage winter & summer. Summer can get up to 90s degree and -10 for winter. If it is true that we need to recalibrate every times the temperature changes by 20 degrees since last use, this will become a major PITA. I kinda regret the purchase now after seeing Milwaukee’s new digital level (self calibration for life!)

We do a lot of ADA ramps and curb and gutter. There are specific slopes you have to have according to the plans and a electronic level is the easiest and most accurate way to set your forms.

The whole point of having a digital screen is because reading the vile isn’t accurate enough. Does this mean there’s no way to accurately calibrate this without a perfectly level surface that was calibrated with a different instrument? Lol

The reason to use an electronic spirit level is not the inaccuracy of the vials. Its electronic measuring technology along with precision vials makes work faster and more efficient: the digital displays can be read easily regardless of application conditions and illuminated at the touch of a button and the acoustic guidance with 3 different audible signals helpt to align components quickly without having to look at the spirit level.

I agree. I deal with ADA stuff all the time. If something is 0.1% slope over what is allowed, inspectors have to tell the contractor to rip it out. Thousands and thousands of dollars are wasted because of these hardline rules (you can thank the litigation threats). And we are calibrating based on what people view as level by the bubbles during calibration? This method works fine for general construction. But I'm not comfortable with using this for ADA inspection.
