Thanks Mathias, all the brushes are great. For brush #2 (Bushy Fader), I wasn't able to get the same effect as you without enabling scattering. Is this correct?

Hi, I've been watching digital painting tutorials for the last 10 years (not to learn but I love watching everyone's style) and I never ever seen anyone showing brush settings. This is real meaning of teaching and not just showing off. Thanks a lot mate for this one. You got my like as well as subscription too. Keep it up :)

Wow. This was extremely helpful. I've been using Procreate for over a year and finally started testing out photoshop. I got so frustrated with it (learning tools, shortcuts and just work flow in general). I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to use the smudge tool in photoshop with brushes similar to Procreate. Not only I learned how to create custom brushes but also how to change the default smudge brush. Now I can finish my painting. Thank you.

Hi, Mathias. New subscriber here. Thanks for the really resourceful tutorials, but I hope you post longer timelapse videos as well. I just discovered you though the Ghibli Brush tutorial, and I don't regret going through your videos one bit. You're God-send. As I stated earlier in one of your tutorials, I highly prefer Clip Studio Paint, but these tips are applicable in almost every art software. Thanks a bunch!

This is a really nice video. Concise very informative and very helpful. That's all the ways I can ever think of using the smudge tool. V useful in concept ing and rendering stuff out. Came looking for the third brush. Last one was the most interesting. Already was using first one after hearing its use from jama. Although was only using the first one for black white shapes not for pictures, but hey that's a nice idea too

I'd like to know your Photoshop version, PC specs(CPU and GPU), and drawing tablet. This just because I noticed Photoshop runs so smoothly when you work with it.
@MathiasZamecki3 жыл бұрын
if you turn off "sample all layers" it should run smooth. if you want tu smudge everything flat layers using ctrl+alt+shift+E :)
