Thanks for being candid about not using the dots. The dots are the bones of the slime. While drawing characters, we don't depict the bones but consider them as structures beneath.

Haven't started, yet,exhausted. Bunch of tutorials that loses my creativity,especially with digital works. I just don't know what should I get particular about with animating. I just want to draw, but, here comes the modern techniques everywhere.Great artists I watch and listened to,but,still,I can't get it all through my head. Maybe, because, I don't want to. Anyway,nice I came across your channel at 7:47 a.m.Been drawing since 6 years old,but,haven't progressed, at all😂.I still draw, why not. This is a passion I wouldn't forget to spend time on.

Wow, this was such an excellent tutorial. So well explained and so approachable. I've been wanting to develop my animation skills but felt so intimidated by all the tools and techniques to learn. Breaking down such complex motion like this in the bite size way you do has been so inspiring. I'm purchasing another iPad soon and looking forward to trying your full course. Thanks so much for sharing.

I really love the way you taught this and i feel confident in my ability to recreate this method to animate slime for the first time on my own pretty well :) i also love that at the end of the last scene u animate when the slime is about to jump off screen the recoil back looks like the slime is looking back and forth before deciding to jump off screen like its trying to be sneaky. It creates a story in my mind for it. Love the way you do your lessons and it really helps me feel confident in learning and perfecting animation so thank you so much. Good question :) cleanup generally has to look very consistent unless the design calls for wobbles. So my line tapers and small messy artifacts would need to be cleaned up. Also I might consider doing it on ones (at 24fps). I debated talking about frame rate in the video but I thought it might distract.

I'm gonna graduate pretty soon to go into uni, so I wanted to know ------>If any animation experience is needed before going to animation school, and how much experience is needed? And also if u have any advice for a young aspiring animator like me, feel free to share😇. Thank u so much, sir. (Please reply🥺🙏)

Hiya! So cool to hear. Yep you can do 2d and 3d at the same time. I started in 3d and switched to mostly 2d a couple of years after uni. As far as experience before university, it will really depend on the school. A lot of the top top animation schools require a portfolio to enter and in some cases it's quite competitive. my school had a portfolio aspect but my limited highschool drawing skills were enough to get me in.

@@AlexGriggAnimation thank u so much for answering u see I consider myself a competent animator but all my works have just been rough so I just wanna make them cleaner but when I try to draw in the lines of my animation the lines start to look very disfigured I'm sorry if this problem Is one which u haven't seen before but I'm just wondering whether I should draw outside of the pixels In the lines cause my program isn't a vector program like flash/animate
@AlexGriggAnimation
@AlexGriggAnimation 3 ай бұрын
@@AjayiDaniel-xu9tj clean up is a special skill for sure. Lots of productions have specific artists that just focus on clean up. But that's a luxury most of us don't have :) a few things to think about, usually new animators miss a step called "tie down". This is where you take the super rough animation and fill in the details and refine the drawing. Then they do a clean up pass afterwards just focusing on line quality. For this people often do key poses clean and make sure they're perfect, then use them as a guide for their in betweens. Typically I find clean up takes 1-2 times longer than the actual animation. That's why I design a lot of my KZbin stuff to look quite rough.
@AjayiDaniel-xu9tj
@AjayiDaniel-xu9tj 3 ай бұрын
@@AlexGriggAnimation ok thank u for the feedback I will focus more on keeping my drawings clean enough So It doesn't require alot of clean up this was very helpful I never heard of the tie-down concept in animation before,again thank u
