awesome! whats that plugin / panel name to change layers colors? looks very handy!
@AndrewMarston3 жыл бұрын
It's Labels 3 by Rendertom on Aescripts. I also recently tweeted a link to download the palette file for my custom color scheme which is based on one by Ryan Summers. I think there may be a free script that's similar out there also, but not sure. Since buying Labels about a year ago, I'm sure the seconds I save each time I use it have added up to more than cover the cost of the script.

I'm really interested in learning to create animated bar graphs from a spreadsheet like shown, do you guys already have a tutorial on that? Great vid!
@AndrewMarston3 жыл бұрын
I left all the rigging for the bar chart in the project file that's linked in the description if you're interested. There's probably some odd scraps of code and expression controls from the project I originally built it for, but it might be helpful. Also I learned most of what I know from the CSV videos on this channel as well as the one by Joe Clay on his Workbench channel.

Hi Andrew, watched it again now I’ve had the .split topic at Expression Session, pretty amazing what you can do with it!👍
@AndrewMarston3 жыл бұрын
Nice! How is Expression Session?
@r-dvaltijddevorm86333 жыл бұрын
Goodmorning Andrew, doing well. Expression Session is so difficult if you've only used wiggle in the past, hhhhh. But with a little experience I think it's less complicated. It's like learning a new language. But I'm beginning to see the structures within the code now! Highly recommend the course. Expression Session School of Motion.

Thanks, awesome! But i guess the only way to keyframe it is with a massive bigger expression if at least it is possible, right?
@AndrewMarston3 жыл бұрын
With layer name like "layer-5-10" and a slider keyframed to go from 0 to 1 you could do something like this: val1 = thisLayer.name.split("-")[1]; val2 = thisLayer.name.split("-")[2]; p = effect("Slider Control")("Slider"); linear(p, 0, 1, val1, val2); Whatever property this expression is applied to would animated from 5 to 10 as the playhead moved between the first and second keyframe of the slider.
