I have been dismantling cars for over ten year and it's a great. I will hit the wrecking yard from time to time and if you know what you are looking for the margins can be off the charts. Some parts are well over 1000% profit when sold on ebay.

spent my day today taking pictures and listing parts on ebay. i buy and strip broken or wrecked cars. The dismantling option is by far the best way if you have space. I usually get cars in the 10-15 year old range with blown engine or bad transmission something not worth fixing. I get cars for anywhere from free to usually less than $600 and can turn almost any car into at least 2k most cars 5-7k.

Same here, listed about 30 items today. That’s awesome. If you don’t mind me asking, where do you source cars from?

Most junkyards that are full-service auto recyclers are always looking for OE dealers.

Really appreciate it! I’m finally flying back home from the holidays in a couple days. After I get settled I’ll be trying to do at least a video a week, hopefully 2 or even 3.

@@devdoesauto That sounds awesome. I'll definitely stay tuned. Over the years, me and my girlfriend have sold car parts but we're looking to really push it and make it a more reliable income. It's great seeing your business model, something I wouldn't have thought of since we were getting spare parts from junk yards. Looking forward to seeing more from you. Safe travels back, and happy new year mate!

Can you talk more about how you approach collision centers to get parts? Who do you talk with? How do you present yourself and how it will benefit the shop? What is the fee you take for your cut? No doubt much more to explain... thanks
@devdoesauto2 жыл бұрын
Sure I can definitely make a video dedicated to those kinds of things. You just want to present yourself in a professional way and easily identify the benefits they will get from working with you - they will make money, it won’t take any effort on their end, and they can trust you.

Do you ever work with auto parts stores like Napa?

hey! do you have any tips to sell parts faster? or do you just have to wait
@Calmlyanimated Жыл бұрын
I would make sure that I was checking comps and sell through rate. How OFTEN that part is selling can be a huge indicator for how long you might have it listed. If it's not moving at all and it's been on there for a min, I would lower price, promote it, and possibly start a store wide coupon.
