Very good video. I think I have commented that I have ASML stocks for more than 6 years. I have bought many of them and others have been given to me by ASML in part payment, while I worked in that company. I am a mechanical and electrical engineer. In my beginnings I worked for a very small semiconductor company in Argentina, then 7 years at Canon, 10 at ASML and I am currently at Lam, but I plan to return to ASML. I have never sold an ASML share and when the price has corrected strongly I increased. I only own ASML and SOXX (ETF) stocks. Except for the Argentine company, I can say that Canon, ASML and LAM are excellent companies. But ASML is different, it is the closest thing to perfection in every way. Leaving aside their EUV machines, I have worked on the HIGH-NA EUV project that will be released to the market approximately in the middle of 2024 and it is something that seems impossible for humans to do but ASML will achieve it, it is not a minor fact that have approximately 75% of the market in DUV. ASML machines are more expensive but more efficient, which is why they cost what they cost. I have seen that in Q1 ASML had fewer orders, both in EUV and DUV. That's not because manufacturers are buying from others. It is because there is less demand for Chips in general as a result of the rescission, mainly for PCs and Cell phones. I want to see, for example, the results of APPL among others. ASML with current orders has for a year and a half. As soon as the demand recovers, it will have more orders. In other words, I believe that if ASML is in trouble, the entire tech industry is. I clarify that it is simply my criteria and I have great confidence in the semiconductor sector in the long term, since more and better quality will be needed every time. Agree with this and you're right that most of the leading equipment makers move in lock-step with each other. ASML has a cutting-edge technology in a critical step in the chip manufacturing process. Nick does a good job I think of highlighting potential risks though/really knows his stuff.

What the company has accomplished is incredible. I can't think of many engineering accomplishments that are more impressive than the EUV (and soon the high-NA EUV) machine.

I am more interested in how strong the bargaining power of ASML has in price negotiation. My reason is that only Samsung still remains shareholder of ASML, and very small now. TSMC and Intel both no more.

Life as we know it would end without 2nm, Zister! In all seriousness though, that is another good bearish point. If the recession gets bad, companies could certainly put 2nm plans on hold for a bit. I have not looked at Impinj in years! PI is the perfect way to finish a portfolio, at least as far as the ticker goes! What do you like about the biz these days?

I did a simple one-and-a-half-year forward P/E estimate, which by my calc still values the stock at well over 20x earnings per share.

@@chipstockinvestor Thanks. I’m using the FWD 5-year average P/E Non-GAAP ratio (37.24) for my price forecast calculations, which shows that we might have some nice upside for the given time period.
