I mean, they're definitely hoarding players. I'm always shocked when young talents agree to join them. They don't have a high success rate of developing these players (at least not in the last 5 years) and usually loan them out for several years consecutively. All of this is failing to mention their on pitch performances, which have been pretty mediocre with all these moving pieces from the player/manager standpoint.

There is no way they're gonna bag huge profits from Enzo & Caicedo, if they decide to sell them. Also, I think chelsea wil only sell the 2nd best player in each position. Who in the right mind would sell Cole Palmer to rivals and reducing chances to get champions league football. No champions league football = less profit. I believe they will keep the best one and sell the 2nd best, and if the 2nd best somehow manage to outperform the current best, they will sell the other one and buy another youngster. This way the club will be more sustainable in the long run.

If those players (that are being bought with 100M) will play for the club for 7-10 years and win some trophies it probably was a deal, but if they will get rid of them in 2-3 years with half the price of they used it obviously was bad deal.
