They both scored 4 goals (all important ones), though Griezmann involved in 9 of France's 14 goals. Giroud was still important, not scoring but providing a few assists. Matuidi, Pogba and Kanté's roles were crucial in mid-field. Lucas Hernandez and Pavard, Varane and Umtiti were important in defense (plus their goals and assist). Finally, Lloris proved himself as captain, as he always did for France.

This video is just a very simplified version of all the controversies some of France's players have been through. The only one I don't know enough about is Éric Cantona. Here are just some of the things about the players not mentioned in this video. Nicolas Anelka, who wasn't France's best player in 2010 (it was still Titi Henry, who was benched), didn't insult Raymond Domenech in the dressing room against Mexico. He told him "You can make your ***** team yourself", as the manager's tactics for the 2010 world Cup didn't suit the players (which was the case at Euro 2008 as well). Zidane was later forgiven by French fans given his career and the understanding of his human side (Marco Materazzi insulting his sister which led to the headbutt). Paul Pogba will return to football in 2025 and is still eligible to play for France. In 2021, Mbappé was still very young and had too much pressure on his shoulders, which he still seems unable to handle today. He never should have been given the captain's armband, as he wasn't ready for it. Griezmann really deserved to be captain. Also, he didn't ask any favours to his manager for international duties. It was Real Madrid who wanted to keep him and still made him play. For his time in Sweden, I don't know any details about it and I prefer to discuss it when we get all the information, and I don't want to be polemical.

Mbappe said that he want to play only big games from now. This is a bit of disrespect and lack of sportsmanship. It can cause him a suspension from the national team. And the worst case would be him switching to Algeria or Cameroon.

Nope, FIFA forbids any footballer to switch his national team for another if he or she is much older than a YOUTH INTERNATIONAL unless if he or she has 0 matches for their original nationality.

That's obvious. FIFA only rigged this award to either Messi or Ronaldo and nothing else. Same goes for Neymar Jr, Lewandowski, and Haaland. Only Modric managed to escape this "curse".
