Yeah the One:1 is a better performer around the track and has much better acceleration. I'm sure they will do a top speed run soon and I won't be surprised if it is faster. It is only lacking in terms of luxury. The Veyron seems much more quiet inside.

+Cam & Ryan it's supposed to look like that. the only major difference between the Veyron and every other Bugatti is that it's mid engined (although even the Type 251 shares some styling queues), the rest of the car can be seen in many Bugattis from the past. The grille, the front fenders, the B pillar, the antique dashboard, all a classic design that's been around for almost a hundred years. When you're bringing back a long-dead car company, it makes sense to make the new car somewhat resemble what the old ones looked like, so those unfamiliar can get an idea.

Problem with the Veyron is people dont understand what sort of car it actually is. Its not a sports car, its not a race car. Its a grand touring car. Its not made to set lap times, its first and foremost an engineering exercise, and its made to take you from A to B like a total baller in an over the top in an unnecessary flashy way, while you sit there and know you could smoke any and every less important motorist on the highway if you put your foot down. Kind of like an extremely overbuilt Aston Martin. That said, people tend to think it doesnt handle, because its balls to the walls fast and looks heavy, meanwhile its 4 wheel drive and actually beat many cars on the small Top Gear track, including the Nissan GTR. Is it a race car that can hang with the fasest? No. But thats not what it was made for, nor how anyone drives it.

tbh the only reason i like the Bugatti veyron is 1. its heritage, and 2. the numbers it set when the veyron first came out. when the 16.4 veyron first came out in 2005 it set some major records and earned a lot of respect. this is why i like the veyron. although imo the Chiron looks better, bugatti won't be able to amaze the world ever again like they did with the Veyron. the numbers are just too high. but yah the only reason i'd buy a veyron is to feel rich af. lol

I think the engineering is amazing, personally I don't mind the looks, or the interior, but service costs raise a good point. You obviously expect to pay more owning a hyper car, but even an oil change costs about 100 times more than other Supercars.

If I were going to get a supercar I would get a Lotus Evora because it's light, unique, and practical. It weighs like 1500 pounds, gets insane mileage, is relatively cheap to buy and maintain, and is actually surprisingly comfortable once you get in(getting into that tiny car is a bit uncomfortable and I have not managed to do it gracefully) Edit: The elise is the model that is 1500 pounds, and probably the one I would get. It's like 30k ish and gets 55mpg highway. It's actually a prius killer. Imagine having real performance and tight turns in something more efficient than a prius for about the same price. Only drawback is the reason it's so good: small size. Not a lot of storage and only 2 seats.

The thing about "quality" is that nobody can tell the difference just from looking at something, or even the scent, when you pay premium for something it's not cause it's of "higher quality" you're paying for a pretty add on that you don't even know if it's genuine, hell the fake stuff can look just as good, people can't tell the difference between a good hide and a bad one, let alone a premium hide, or with woods, they can just veneer over cheaper wood, slap polyurethane on it and you wouldn't be the wiser unless you cut into it. I'm a huge fan of leather items and wood instruments and sought to learn about the prices of leather and woods and you would not believe how bad you're getting ripped off just because the leather is "Italian" leather is leather mate, the only difference is the tanning process and the physical state of their livestock, so as long as you can match them, which isn't super expensive, you can have leather that's just as amazing, you'd be surprised how many supercar clones are out there with the supercar engine in it and nobody not even owners of the real deal can tell the difference. Moral of the story, if iy's more expensive than a Rolls Royce you're getting ripped off mate.

the reason bugatti is that expensive because you can go with 400 km/h as much as you want you only need to change the tires.. but if you build a 2000hp engine and make some rounds with that engine you need to replace a lot of things in that engine.. that car is made to last very long at top speeds and very good quality i hope you get my point sorry if i say something wrong..english is not my main language..

People hate the veyron because they know that their favorite car companies are nowhere near to making a car that is even close to the veyron. i heard somewhere that the tires need to be glued to the rims due to extreme torque, thus needing to change the whole wheel when the tires need changing. any of this true?

+Santosh Parmar Correct. But not every time you replace the tires, every other time. I don't know about the $20K service cost, though, unless it's cheaper with the newer ones. I read with the 1st gen that the yearly running costs would be about $300K, but that may have been an estimate for someone who would be dumb enough to use it for a daily driver, averaging 10k to 12k mi/year. That same article said it'd be cheaper to ship it on a trailer to whatever track you'd use it at, and fly behind it in a helicopter.

It's headlights could be taken right from a VW Passat. For a car of this price print, nothing should even remotely remind you of other car brands. Everything needs to be exclusive and original. It's what Zonda is getting so right. It's engineering and art combined to something truly amazing.

I disagree on your maintenance points, cause it's realistic to say: "If you got a Veyron, you don't have to think of how expensive it is to run" To a person who looks mainly on the carbody (not you) and how it is shaped, it doesn't look any furious or desperatly pretty at all. The real beauty of this car appears when it's movin the way it's meant to, or if you look behind bodypanels etc. You won't find any spare room, which is because of the immense technology necessary to get it to 408 km/h. Acutally it's a midget if you compare its size to its amount of systems. Just love every car, even if it's a Multipla. There might be some beauty you won't recognize on first,second or third sight.

I'm pretty sure a Japanese Yakuza member designed the interior of the Huayra. That's how awful it is. The Veyron, even the '05 model, has an interior that will stand the test of time.
