An Aussie here.... please feel sorry for us lol. Looking for way out as we can't leave easily and without great expense. There is a charter flight out and a seat is $10k AUD. We want all our family out as if we split we may not be able to get back together for many years. Today for example in a major newspaper half the front page is a bold huge heading that says 'RED ALERT . this is about the new variant. Its absurd. I lost my 18yr job in education as I don't want 3 monthly jabs. We've gone from a very decent income to zero and no government help. Its insane. Thanks for all the info . It really helps.
@cryptosecuritytools3 жыл бұрын
Im also Aussie. I was sad to read your post here. Thats terrible. I know people about to face that same situation. 'Dont come back to work until you've been vaxxed'. Its insanity. One thing we have going for us as Australians in very good visa-free travel options. Maybe you can't immediately organise a permanent residency or long term visa (not to mention citizenship elsewhere which can take time), but if you can get out of the country you have quite a few options to stay between 4 months and 1 year in different places. Maybe move around until you get the residency or long term visa that you want to apply for. When you say there is a charter flight for $10k, do they not require proof of vaccination of their passengers?

We were considering Russia after retirement next year. My wife is Russian and I’ve been there several times. We were disappointed to see them impose mandates related to the unspecified virus of unknown origin. QR codes required to go to restaurants or even to ride the bus. Many employers requiring employees to get the jab. We’re hoping things change this year as it becomes more and more apparent that the sickness has been blown way out of proportion. Upside is that the country remains at a very low vaccination percentage and QR codes and vaccine paperwork to show that you have the jab are available for a price if you know where to look.
