It sounds like a Sasquach, and yes you shouldn't have taken your friend. Sasquach is known to accept gifts and leave gifts in return. You were earning it's trust, and you may still have its trust, but! I would never take anyone with you again. Leave gifts of fruit and beef jerky, I say this because those who have Sasquach near their home have done this exact thing. They come to a sort of understanding between one another's territory and the Sasquach will leave them alone.

Question from a pretty firm believer in this stuff (although I've never had an encounter) They say you aren't supposed to talk about skin walkers, as it will draw them to you. You read about them almost daily out loud. Do you ever get nervous that it will bring them to you?

I think the Wanderer OP would be okay if she went back. She'd just need to just have to do what you would do if you upset your host by bringing a rude guest. Bring a peace offering and place it where you'd knock. Then knock as normal, but not enter. wait for the signs the presense is near. Then apologize for your friend's rudeness and hope this doesn't hurt your friendship. If the gift isc excepted all should be good. I don't think its a bad entety. It would have hurt OP long before now if it was.

You know, some of these stories really piss me off sometimes, not that I’m questioning anyone or their experiences, I’m no expert and whether any of this is “real” or not isn’t for me to decide or question. But some of them just irk the hell out of me like “it made an inhuman sound that I just absolutely can’t describe (proceeds to describe sound.)” like, be consistent with your context people. If you say you “can’t” describe something then don’t immediately contradict yourself, it makes the story very unrelatable and hard to stick with. Even if that’s “just and attempt” to describe it, you just said you couldn’t, so why try. Your just gonna confuse your audience.
