As an up grade consider putting continuous loops on the ends of your hammock to have the option for whoopie SDS lungs or cinch buckles.

Brilliantly done, I would have made the ends so they were easier to adjust, maybe tie in taught line. I’ve changed most of my hammocks to whoopie slings. It looks like it has a dyneema ridgeline which I will do with mine, but the paracord works for now. Swap your black shock cord for luminous shock. I think you’ve got it bang on otherwise. Well done Owen, wished I could have joined you. 😊👊🔥

You’re right, there a definitely easier ways to set up the ends but for the sake of the review I thought I would do it the ‘Hennessy’ way. I saw a video of yours about the whoopie sling setup and I really liked the look of it so I’m going to try that next. Thanks mate, looking forward to our camp when you’re feeling up for it 👍😄

@@owbyoutdoors I have a pair for my unigear hammock not fitted as yet, you could try before you buy. 👍 They are a massive game changer in my opinion. On the back of this vid, I’ve bought 30m of dyneema to change my hammock ridge lines 😊👊🔥

Use 2 O-rings on a carabiner with python hammock straps. There are videos on KZbin that will show you. Easiest, quickest, best for 100% adjustments, and fully secure.

I like their hammocks. Guidance on tree huggers is rubbish. If you want to make your Explorer a 4-season, get an undercover and overcover from HH. Put the thin foam in the bottom - between under-cover and bottom of regular Explorer. Done - that is the 4 season basically. If you want to be warm in sub zero temps, use the foam as mentioned above. And MOST importantly, use a good sleeping pad. Exped XP9LW is perfect. Put a pad cover on it and no worries about any sliding.

Nice video, You need to choke the slings on the tree so they dont slip down would make the setup perfect, would be my only suggestion 👍

You’re 100% right and I thought that after it was all setup. Was too comfy by the fire to care at that point haha

I try to keep all my content real and making quite common mistakes here will help others avoid those when it comes to them setting up. I don’t pretend to be an expert, I in fact describe myself as a beginner and my channel is all about my journey. I’m sorry if that’s not what you like to see, there are professional channels out there if you don’t like my content.
