This is just an astonishing set of lectures on Agile Project Management. As a PM who worked on traditional project management environment for awhile (incl. waterfall), I have had some tough time to adapt to agile methodoligies that are becoming xtremely popular nowadays. I have read many books, seen many videos, attended a number of courses, BUT none of them could give me such a clear picture of what agile methodology is and why it is better than traditional methodologies when it comes to software developement. A very BIG thank You, Mr. Raja!

I absolutely agree. The communication between clients and business analysts is so complex than without seeing the final result they can't really check if they understand the same.

This even happens in most of our day to day life as well... when we go to a garment shop with no clarity on what we want to buy .....and when we (as customers) are asking the sales person (the service provider) to keep showing different things(even after we decide on something and ask him to keep it aside for us) based on our indecisive mindset.....he will show some sort of reluctance / unhappiness in his face which definitely impacts our shopping experience .....

Indeed 'prototyping' is very important when the software product is innovative and otherwise, as mentioned because of non visualization of the final product by the customer. So, 'prototyping' and showing it to the customer will help them to ultimately get what they want.

Hello Sir....Very good explanation.....I have a question sir...What is the difference between Incremental Model and Spiral Model ? give an example sir
@RajamanickamM1239 жыл бұрын
+Madan Kumar Thanks for the feedback. Here is an external link on simple explanation of the three SW Dvt models. ijcsi.org/papers/IJCSI-12-1-1-106-111.pdf (not my document. This one is publicly available resource) Pls mail me for more discussion (mrajamanickam@gmail.com). Most of the agile methods are both iterative and increments. Pls watch my video on Scrum kzbin.info/www/bejne/nX3HZYGQgbulfNk for simple explanation of iterative and incremental approach.

the same thing applies in IT world as well..... firstly customers are indecisive .....and in that state if service providers are showing resistance to change then it strains the relation ship between the customer and service provider
@RajamanickamM12311 жыл бұрын
I think it is not to that extent, Sree Krishna. In the garment purchase, the customer may not be decisive. But in Software Development, the problem is not exactly in the indecisiveness of the customers. The customers simply do not know ALL the requirements in the beginning (how much ever they want to define). The intangibleness of software is the cause.
