Thank God and you for doing this video. I bought the vxr10 and still have not tested it. I viewed MOVO's "lessons" one gets after buying and was let in on information that was never revealed, anywhere, before I bought the mic. Very upset to hear Brian Miller telling about how he used a boom to record his stuff and then saying how bad the mic was for filming when on top of the camera. The farther away from camera the less you hear etc.. Being a rank mic novice, I was stunned and never thought that it could not do what I wanted at six to eight feet away from the camera, which is what I needed to do. But seeing your video gave me a new perspective on the vxr10, so now I don't feel quite so bad. Subsequent to this upsetting experience I started to do some audio research on mic's and learned a lot. You did an excellent video, concise and informative. Sorry about the tmi.

Listening on my tablet the Movo original sounded really good and clearly won the out door test. I liked movo pro indoors. It has a crisper sound.

I have the Movo VXR10 and this is my findings on it. Higher noise floor and in general is a hotter mic as you mentioned which I generally don't mind however the way it handles the slightest bit of wind noise is pretty bad. It tends to peak easily and make a sort of clicking sound. I use an A7iii with the audio level set to 1 which is still too loud for the mic but I can't go any lower. So for outdoor use it's not too good in the wind but for windless days and indoor it's pretty good. Also it's cheap so that's good for the wallet. Perhaps my version has an issue but something to be aware of. Hopefully this helps somebody.

I think the MOVO Pro tone sounds better than the Duo4, and it's Supercardioid, meaning it picks up your voice from the rear.

Me looking at this video, wanting the Movo original to win because I don't own it but I have a similar microphone, that is Boya BY-MM1 which sounds descent for what it costs at about $20 new.

@@connormccaskill Yeah, man. I never had any complaints from it. You should give it a shot, maybe it can compete with the Movo original. If you think it performs good for what it costs, it would help some of the viewers who are looking for inexpensive mic. (PS: it is inexpensive but no way cheap, full metal body, comes with a leather carrying bag and both TRS and TRRS cables for smartphone and camera.)
