Stupid comment from someone that don't understand how we shoot in Africa. Try creep up to a pride of lions, or a rhino, or a hippopotamus, an elephant, leopard with that tiny toy. Reach starts at 600mm, then can go to 1200mm. What is 105mm going to afford you? Taking indecent shots of sparrow cloaca? I sometimes wonder why some live in such small worlds, that they neither see nor imagine beyond their own small back yards. Get some exposure!!

Super cool camera ... I hate this flippy flappy screen tho ... it's also my least fav element of my r5 ... Why did they make a camera clearly mainly focused on photography with this bs is beyond me ... there should be an option of a tilt screen since Nikon got it in their arsenal.

Hi Connor - excellent video with multiple perspectives/insights on the technology. Did you do any low-light testing with the new LiDAR-enhanced and AI-enhanced ActiveTrack Pro in light-challenged conditions? No one is testing these auto track systems in low light, and I've been buying and returning systems because they consistently fail in less-than-ideal lighting conditions. Thanks!

I hope they add the camera control features of the Lab app for the S5ii soon, the Lumix Sync app doesn't let you control that many settings lol

In this age of high performance digital cameras, it seems weird to me how obsessed some people get about a single stop of aperture. I've heard people say that "f/2.8 is a must" in low light, despite it only being one stop faster than f/4. You'd think low light photography would have been impossible back in days of 100 ISO film! Besides, f/2.8 isn't anything special when compared to primes. The 24-105 f/4 is probably what I'll buy when i switch over to mirrorless - looks like a really nice lens 👍

Question: i own the Rf 24-105 F4-7.1 lens. i like to shoot 50mm & 85mm detail video shots (real estate) should i upgrade to the F4 or do you think there is much difference in the cheaper F4-7.1 lens
@connormccaskill4 күн бұрын
I think a constant aperture is an amazing upgrade for any zoom lens. I think it’s worth it if you can spare the money

I initially got this as a stabilizing camera for my walking vlogs, but found the video quite choppy compared to devices I've already been using, namely Fimi Palm Pro 2 and Insta360 Go3. I came away quite disappointed to say the least. Then I had an epiphany. I realized that the V10 works amazingly well as a still point and shoot! While I'm out filming my videos, I often stop to take quick rapid fire photos as well, but the Google Pixel I've been using is quite clunky, and difficult to hold one handed. This little V10 is perfect for that, and the photos come out better than the Pixel to boot!

Fix the menue with a firmware update!?!? serious?!?!?!?!?! This menue system exist since 17 years, ofc with additionals sub catagories. You think really they will update this system because of you dont like it?!?!!?? And canon has the best menue system?!?!?!? oh boy here goes definitly something wrong here. The system is quit easy its like you said a long list and you have latters and numbers to navigate. Its the most easiest system of the most brands. And if you need something queit frequently you habe my menue which can be asigned to a fn button. And the lag of resulution of the viewfinder?!?!?!? there are no lags what so ever no blackout time in burst mode what else do you want more. Do you miss something?!?!?!? Its the same EVF as in the Z7ii and Z6ii its great.

I’d say that having both is great. One can be used for photography (iPhone) and the other purely for video (osmo). I currently own both and the osmo is just so much of a better experience to use while running and gunning. The video quality is excellent whether you’re shooting in log or not. Also another cool trick for osmo users, if you want portrait style footage and don’t want to lose your 4k quality, just turn the osmo on its side and it’ll shoot in portrait mode 4k. I do it all the time.

Fujifilm doesn't make full frame cameras and never will because they have superior medium format cameras. What doesn't make sense it that their APC cameras and lenses are prices at or above full frame ones. In the same way, Nikon has largely abandoned APC as phone cameras do the job, which also makes sense, and unless you're extremely focuses on medium format work (some portrait or landscape photographers perhaps), full frame is going to be all you need.

I wish Apple would sell a “vloggers” version, given how likely the person upgrading is doing it for cameras and wants to film themselves-12mp front camera, and it has no action mode. Holding the iPhone backwards to record a vlog is far from ideal (hence why GoPro started offering mini screens 5 versions ago). YMMV
