So understand; now I know I was in my late teens/early 20's but didn't talk about it; after 5 years I mentioned it and well it went downhill from there. I just couldn't believe after 5 years that we weren't on the same page. Basically, he took NO responsibility. I Did his family reunion, hung out with his friends and family, BUT the problem. He wasn't growing up. He thought things would just keep going on as it was because it was working for just HIM.

What if he’s a narcissist and he is future faking. My ex covert Narc knew I wanted to get married, so he brought up what kind of ring I wanted and would future fake all the time. However he never took steps to make any of those plans happen. My ex Narc also wanted me to meet his family right away. I would say if the man asked ur dad for his blessing then he’s serious, otherwise. Narcs do this stuff all the time to get what they want off of you

He is moving very very slow. We have barely kissed after months. Dependable. Shows interest in what's going on with me. Met some family. He brought up marriage talk. Asked if I'd ever remarry. What song Id walk down the isle to and 1st dance if I were to remarry. His Mom did tell a embarrassing story. Met his daughter. Coworkers. Talk to some friends over the phone. He always checks in me. Always has a small gift when we meet.

Thanks for this. I brought the topic of marriage as he recently brought me to Greece as we are in a long distance relationship. When I told him about proposing he just said "I don't bringing you to my country to meet my parents half-proposing? I said well in our culture a man should propose to a woman and then he said "Well if it comes to that point then I will." But like you said if man brings a woman to meet his parents then that is a sign but his response made meI confused.i know he loves me and always makes time for me but now it kinda leaves me hanging if he indeed is intent on marrying me in the future.

He is consistent with the video calls and coming back and forth here to my country to prove me that distance is nothing to him. I think I will just go with the flow and see where this goes. The only question I guess is how long I would have to wait and say enough is enough.
