4 Signs it's time to ASK for a PAY RAISE!

Employees always want to make more money… and TBH... if you’ve worked somewhere in the same job for more than a year or two (especially in fast-growing industries or roles) you are probably being underpaid.
But it’s really hard to prove that you should be paid more.
Generally speaking… your pay (getting raises) depends on a lot of different factors including the size of the company you are working for.
But the easiest and most accurate thing to focus on is supply and demand.
Supply vs demand is simply the measurement of how many employers are wanting to hire people like you vs how many people like you are out there available in the labor market.
If there is an overabundance of people looking for work while demand by employers is low… then you shouldn’t be expecting much increase in your pay.
But if there is a shortage of people looking, and high demand for these people by employers… it is most likely time for you to look to increase your pay.
So how can you easily judge supply vs demand?

Unsolicited interest and offers from recruiters & other companies to do the same job
Company is charging substantially more for what you work on than when you started.
You perform your job substantially better than the avg person and substantially better than you did after you were initially fully trained and up to speed.
Now there’s just one problem… all of the above says there is the potential for a pay increase… but it doesn’t make it easy to make your case.
Generally speaking in these situations the only way to really determine how much you should be making, and force your employer to pay you more, is to get a competitive offer from another employer.
