The AdmitJet Armor is a new electric dirt bike putting out 12kW of power with a peak output of 22KW supplied by a swappable 72v 60Ah battery.
A unique feature of the AdmitJet is that it’s got a 4 speed gearbox and a clutch, which is pretty rare for an electric dirt bike.
AdmitJet claims the bike has a top speed of 77.7 MPH but that has not been verified.
AdmitJet claims the bike weighs 234 pounds.

I bought this bike a year ago just for fun while waiting for my Stark Varg order. I weighed this bike and it actually weighs 265lbs. The throttle modulation is garbage and 1st is way too short and abrupt. The suspension bottomed out very easily as well. The biggest issue I had was that having heavy front end ipmacts typical in hard enduro would cause the power to shut off until you came to a complete stop and cycled the key off and on again which was super dangerous. Needless to say I didn't keep it long.

Well at least you trashed that bike for them. That's great. Listen to your fans regurgitating your opinion. You must be proud. I was looking forward to your review on them honestly. I guess this is why I don't read comments. There are several of this same style out there and there will be more. You can call and if you order 20, they will name the bike anything you want. The color you want decals, brakes , you can supply them with batteries and controllers and they will build them for you and call them the big d flyer if you wanted. AdmitJet is developed and manufactured by a technology developer called Secutronic. They also developed the admit jet, jet powered surfboard. I don't know that they can hold patents between each other in China. It appears to be a free for all. I researched secutronic and they are solid. Likely where these bikes came from. E time moto is directly built right next to admit jet bikes. Yet it has just a little different look. Because it was commissioned by whoever e time moto is. My point is they are so brand new that trashing them when I know these guys put in some work and still putting in work, is not that cool. You opinion is yours though and I have enjoyed you content mostly until this went a little far for me. I don't mean to be rude or upset anyone. I know it was your honest opinion. That is ultimately appreciated. Remember friends 2 or 4 stroke, you are out, dusty and broke. Electric is in! Technically sit and spin, rotary my friends, NoStroke!

@@NoStroke I'm confused by your comment. I look forward to electric dirtbikes with MECHANICAL clutches. I hope to purchase an electric motion trials bike next year. But this AdmitJet bike (which is obviously from the same manufacturer as e-time moto as you mentioned) is just a toy - not a performance machine. The transmission on this bike sketches me out but I hope that someone can get a transmission on an electric dirtbike right. You seem upset by the criticism levied against the AdmitJet but then cite reasons why the bike is bad but it seems you are trying to present that they are actually good? I'm not afraid of Chinese motorcycles and I'm not afraid of electric. I will buy one when there is a bike that meets my requirements for a race machine. Not a backyard 2-track toy.

I have the top spec 25KW model. Ride is great. Controller and battery both upgraded and have no issues now. There are quite a few things that could be better with this bike but for the price and value I don''t know of anything else is able to compare to its value for the power.

I picked up this bike after I found out about it on a Stark Varg forum while waiting for that bike. It has been a great bike for me. For hill climbs and technical sections I do use 1st and 2nd and when I'm lazy I'll leave it in 3rd on a trail. I ordered it with a light kit which was great, trick blinkers, brake lights and a horn allowed me to register it for street / dual sport use. For exploring new terrain and not bothering anyone- this bike is awesome. The ergonomics are too small for me at 6'4" but all of my other bikes had to be modified for the same reason. I will also change the throttle tube, a cheap mod for better modulation (I did the same on my early Sur Ron- it had the same cable system originally). Good bang for the buck. I dialed in the clickers and smash through whoops with the bike without issue. Obviously it's not the Varg and it's not even close to the cost. This review is also silly because the rider doesn't even know how to set the bike in high power mode or set up the suspension clickers.

It’s essential to have diverse opinions in the community, especially when it comes to complex products like bikes. However, I believe it’s important to consider different perspectives before labeling it as an “engineering nightmare.” The reviewer in question provided a contrasting opinion compared to others who might have received the bike for free. While it’s true that receiving a product at no cost can sometimes influence opinions, it’s not always fair to assume that all such reviews lack honesty. Many content creators are committed to giving genuine feedback, regardless of how they acquired the product. Moreover, every rider’s experience can vary based on numerous factors like riding style, conditions, and personal expectations. What might seem like a failure or flaw to one person could be negligible or even unnoticeable to another. In short, while it’s absolutely fair to highlight the flaws of a product, it’s also crucial to remember that reviews are subjective and can differ based on individual experiences and expectations. It’s great to have a mix of reviews - they provide a more rounded picture to potential buyers. Thanks again for your input - such discussions are vital for a healthy, informed community

@@admitjet You seem to be writing as if the reviewer and the audience are NOT very highly experienced with a range of motorcycles. We know what a proper machine looks like and how it performs. This product is clearly not up to snuff. Just take the L, and explain why in the world we should trust this brand's quality and reliability in the future. And as far as your critique of the reviewer that his review is not timely.... his 6 month wait for the replacement of a *brand new* battery may have been a factor! Firstly, it's important to understand that pricing can often vary due to numerous factors, especially when it comes to rebranded products. When a company rebrands a product, they may add value in various ways, such as offering additional services, local support, or warranties, which can contribute to a higher price point. Original pricing is carefully set to balance quality with affordability. It's important to offer customers the best value, ensuring a high-quality product at a reasonable price

@@EmxBrandon Thank you for sharing. We understand that seeing a significant price difference can be concerning. Actually the price is decided by market. If people will buy it even at $9K, that's OK, if no one buy it for high price, they will surely lower their price. Sometimes pricing reflects not just the product itself but the comprehensive package offered. And they may label their price at a very high level on purpose to make people shocked, like you, so they will advertise for them. I appreciate your perspective, and it’s important feedback for us. We continually assess our pricing structure to remain competitive while upholding the high standards we set for our products and services. If there are specific aspects of our offering that you would like to discuss, or if you need further clarification on the value we provide for the price, I would be more than happy to have a detailed conversation

Reminds me of my Empulse TT 6-speed electric nake bike. There was a take up in the gearbox and it would clunk on take off or if you unload the motor and get back on the throttle it would clunk. It had a clutch but I would really only use the clutch to downshift and I would never feather it. Around town I would ride it in 1st and 2nd. Then 3rd or 4th at freeway speeds. I have an Alta Redshift SM now and man the throttle is so good on it, it so butter smooth acceleration and regen.

@ElectricCycleRider do you think this bike could be good with an aftermarket controller to fix the power curve/delivery issues?
@ElectroBikesusa
@ElectroBikesusa 5 ай бұрын
The newest version has already been improved upon with the controller and battery size. If you add the electric surron throttle it helps smooth out some of the power delivery. 1st is still somewhat snatchy on loose terrain, but a late 2023 and newer is much more predictable than the earlier models. The problem is that some previous models are still floating around the marketplace and it can be difficult to tell which is which.

I have this bike (2024 model) and I can safely tell you that so far (over 700 km) I haven't had any of the problems mentioned in the video. Right after I ordered the bike, I watched this review and wondered if it was really worth it. I can tell you that for the price and quality, this bike has no analogue. Extremely fast, not for beginners, I have developed 115 km/h with off-road tires. The battery can withstand 80km of driving at full throttle (72v 60Ah). As a side note, I should note that the suspension is quite soft for jumping.

As @PaulFulwood correctly pointed out, the power mode in the reviewed bike was set to 'L' (Low power mode). The 'H' (High power mode) offers significantly more power and speed, which could change the riding experience considerably. The versatility of the transmission is a feature we've retained, but it's worth noting that it's not necessary to frequently switch gears. Many riders find that using 3rd gear for general riding is quite sufficient and enjoyable, even in varied terrain.

From the on/off throttle response you described and hearing it in the video I would guess that they cheaped out and used a square wave controller. I understand that first gear is really short for hill climbs but if the throttle is too sensitive to modulate at low speeds there is no advantage.
@admitjet
@admitjet 5 ай бұрын
Thank you for your observations regarding the throttle response. I want to clarify that it's surely a sine wave controller utilized in the systems, known for its smooth operation and efficiency. Your assumption about a square wave controller isn't applicable in this case. Regarding your concerns about the first gear and throttle sensitivity at low speeds, I understand how crucial it is for the bike to perform optimally in various conditions, including hill climbs. We take these aspects of functionality very seriously. To address your specific needs, we offer the option of customizing the controller settings. If you could specify the desired state or performance characteristics, we can arrange for the manufacturer to tailor the controller accordingly. This customization aims to ensure that the bike meets your expectations for throttle modulation and overall performance. We are committed to delivering a product that not only meets but exceeds your riding requirements. Customer's satisfaction is always the top priority, and we appreciate the opportunity to make their riding experience with the bike as enjoyable and efficient as possible

Does that bike you got have reverse? Sorry if you mentioned that already. Don't mean to ramble on but I haven't found anyone that doesn't love it when they try it. @@admitjet I have been down this trail with you at least twice before. Each time it was a dead end. First, you should ADMIT that you are not the manufacturer, but just a marketer or distributor. Then, stop saying "I have to ask my engineer", which really means I have to ask the manufacturer. Clearly you do not "understand how crucial clear information is for making an informed decision". If you did, you would not ignore and refuse to answer such simple questions. You still have not stated what is the brand and model of components like the controller, motor, forks, shocks and brakes. You cannot say what are the fork and shock spring rates, and what optional rates are available. Also, no one cares about the shock stroke. Wheel travel is what matters. What are the controller functions and specs? Why is this also a secret? I asked about what upgrades are available upon ordering, and again silence. It seems the only choice is plastic colors. Why is your English literacy far beyond anyone I have communicated with at AdmitJet? Are you British or American? What is your position at AdmitJet? I am not mad at you or AdmitJet. I own the bike since july 2023 and I don't have all problems described around after 2000km ridden. The bike was updated few times and I have one of the newest revisions with updated controller and battery. My 22kw version with 72v70ah battery weights in total 112kg. The bike performance is not the greatest out of the box but few simple upgrades makes it a lot better. For example a surron/domino/alta throttle fix all the issues with power modulation and it's a night and day difference. Surron throttle is cheap and p&p. Suspension can be easily setup for rider preference with a standard revalve and service. You have to get used to the gearbox, I run mostly on 3/4 and don't use the clutch at all. On 70ah battery i get almost twice the range of ultra bee. Battery also have a great perfomance, the voltage sag is small and it still puts a lot of power on low voltage state. Stock bms settings are very safe and you can push even more after tweaking it. The bike is also very quiet compared to belt driven surrons. It's worth mentioning that it is a full sized bike worth 3500usd. There is also a new pit version with linkage, different bodykit, 7kw nominal motor, cvt transmission, 96v battery and a hand rear brake. This seems like a big update over the model reviewed ;)

It has the same problems of all the geared Denzel motors. As the previous one you tried. Sometimes they hit false neutral, sometimes the clutch has no good engagement, etc... Some are better than the others, you know how quality control works in these Chinese factories. Also the clutch works differently even from different units of the same manufacturer. The main problems is still the final gearing, that is far too short when you have a gearbox. It should be geared much longer and you can do it yourself using a larger front sprocket. Once is done and with a decently tuned controller, it's a nice Enduro bike, if it only was way cheaper...
@NoStroke
@NoStroke 6 ай бұрын
I bought 3 of these. Did you set up the suspension? Or adjust it? The clutch is for switching between the gears, not for starting and stopping. That you can do with no clutch 4 gear take off in high power mode. Also, yes, the cable throttle is garbage. With a cheap replacement of the throttle with and surron type throttle. Unplug the box the cable is connected to and plug the throttle directly into the controller. Exact same plug. Before you throw the bike away, try these things and see if you don't think it is a completely different machine. Please, I am interested to hear your opinion. I have a blast but am intermediate at best and mostly haven't had them out much. I have several others. Mototech Venom is similar but feels like it has more power. Even though it only claims 12kw maximum opposed to the AdmitJet claim of 22kw. Both are permanent magnet DC Q motors and have a continuous output of 3000w. They are not as snappy as my 2017 Alta Redshift but not much is. Give them another shot and don't forget to change that gear oil if you haven't already. Happy riding. Remember, you don't have to worry about your stroke when you are on an electric motorcycle. NoStroke out.

Firstly, one must be aware that this is a motorcycle costing a maximum of 5000 euros, not like the comparison with a KTM E-Freeride priced over 12,000 euros. If you invest a bit more, for example, in high-quality gearbox oil, better fork oil, or even a throttle from Surron, for instance, this bike quickly becomes a very capable companion for enduro riding. Noiseless enduro riding. In my opinion, it is also wrongly evaluated here because gear selection serves as a preselection of the gear and is not meant for constantly shifting up and down while riding; that's not necessary. Even the first gear is rarely needed, only for very steep ascents. I usually ride in second gear and when covering longer distances or commuting, I occasionally shift into fourth and go over 100 km/h. It works very well. Initially, the clutch needs to break in a bit; the linings must wear in, then the clutch works relatively well. However, it is clear that with an electric motor, where full torque is available from zero, engaging or gently engaging the clutch doesn't work very well. Therefore, it's more about preselecting the gear and then riding in those gears, controlling everything with the throttle. As I mentioned, installing a Surron throttle allows for excellent control at low speeds. Regarding the battery, I cannot confirm any issues. In summary, the bike is much more affordable than a KTM E-Freeride, Surron Storm Bee and also Surron Ultra … It has a much power and longer range, namely 2 to 3 hours, for off-road and enduro riding with a 60 Ah battery, and there is also a 70 Ah battery available. With a bit of investment and a few adjustments, it can be transformed into a very useful bike, which I have been enjoying a lot for the past year and a half.

Just came across your review of the AdmitJet electric dirt bike, and I've got to say, your insights are spot on and super helpful. It's great to see someone highlighting the bike's value. You're absolutely right about the potential for upgrades. Investing in better gearbox oil, fork oil, or a Surron throttle can indeed elevate the bike's performance significantly. It's these kinds of tweaks that can turn a good bike into a great one, tailored to your specific enduro riding needs. Your point about the gear selection is also an excellent reminder. Understanding that it's more about choosing the right gear for your ride rather than constantly shifting makes a big difference in the riding experience. Plus, your experience with the second gear for regular rides and fourth for longer distances gives a real sense of the bike's versatility. The tip about the clutch needing some time to break in is valuable info for new riders. And your insight into the electric motor's torque characteristics offers a clear understanding of how best to handle the bike. The battery performance sounds impressive too, especially with the option for a 70 Ah battery. Overall, your review paints a picture of a highly affordable yet capable bike that, with a bit of customization, can offer a fantastic riding experience. It's always encouraging to hear from someone who's not just bought a product but has truly made the most of it over an extended period. Keep enjoying those rides, and thanks for sharing your experience!

Very helpful vid. That bike cought my interest, not because of the gear box, although interesting, but for the power. But after watching this I'm going ebikepro ss. It's cheaper, lighter, and it'll blend in if I wanna ride it around town or at the park, and doesn't have a gear box that's probably just a problem.

I tried to buy this bike earlier this year and thankfully it didn't work out due to the company's incompetence. A month after I made the order the bike hadn't been shipped out after multiple failed time frames given so I asked for a refund. They were even slow about giving a refund until I posted my negative experience on their Facebook page, and then they were suddenly expedient and finished the refund within just a few hours. The sellers basically begged me to still order the bike and said that they would ship it as soon as possible if i did. I told them that even if they shipped it I didn't trust them to get the order correct. Instead, I bought a gas bike, an FSE 300R from GPX Moto. I made the order Monday and it was at my door that Friday, with an MCO arriving in the mail a couple weeks later. No hassle at all with them and they're quick to answer any questions you might have.

Firstly, I want to express my sincere apologies for the frustrations and inconveniences you experienced with your order. It’s disappointing to hear about the delay in shipping your bike and the lack of clear communication regarding timeframes. These are areas we continuously strive to improve, and your feedback is a stark reminder of the importance of reliability and transparency in our customer service. I understand how the delay in processing your refund added to your dissatisfaction. But do you believe there would take time or procedure to make refund? And we made the refund when you ask for cancle the order, even the bike is fully produced, and you may think it's just because you posted the negative experience on Facebook. To be frankly, we are working on ensuring more consistent and prompt responses in all aspects of our customer service, regardless of the circumstances. While it’s disheartening to lose a customer, I respect your decision to purchase elsewhere after losing trust in our process. Hearing about your positive experience with GPX Moto and their FSE 300R, both in terms of delivery and customer service, is a learning point for us. It highlights the level of service we should be aspiring to provide consistently. Your experience has provided us with valuable insights into areas where we need to improve. We are actively working on streamlining our order and delivery processes, enhancing our customer communication, and ensuring that our support team is responsive and helpful. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Feedback like yours is crucial in helping us better our services and the experiences we offer to our customers

Why noy just do a simple 2-speed gearbox. One for normal riding like this, and one higher gear for cruising range. For all the ebikes in general.. This bike seems like it has some problems and adding all that extra things like a 4-spd gearbox and a clutch on an electric bike, on their first model.. You're going to have problems like it seems lol.. Props for the Honest review though! Seems like its a bad Motor Controller which doesnt has full range throttle to recognize it from 0-100%, not steps in between. The bike shutting off seems like its from power overloads, which also points to a too cheap & Low Specification Brushless Motor Controller on the bike stock. The gearbox seems like its definitely not going to last and almost pointless.. The clutch idea is nice if some people want that, but i feel like Auto is just a charesteric for an Electric Dirt Bike. However the clutch on this bike seems purely electrically "done". Not an actual clutch pack like a real gas dirt bike/motorcycle

Dang bro you seem to be really bashing on the bike, I understand you had to wait and you might have been frustrated. I’m sure the earlier models had their issues, but as for me, I have recently purchased a 2024 model and yes, I’ll admit the gearbox isn’t perfect, but it seems like it as much better from what this video shows. The controller and throttle have been upgraded from the factory, and I have not seem to see any issues with it being too touchy/jerky. Seems like they have fixed a lot of the issues that you have been bringing up. I’m not gonna try to sell everyone on it . But from my experience of riding it for a month now I love this bike I have extra Street tire set up and a dirt tire set up and on both trains I am loving it. I have not encountered any issues so far. I’m sure if I wanted to. I could upgrade the controller to something I can really tune myself, and if I wanted to I’m sure I can get this thing to be an absolute monster. So far I don’t have any complaints. I’m super happy with the bike. Yes it is in a Chinese bike, but for the price this thing is amazing, super quick and more smooth, and third and fourth. For the price this thing is worth every single penny. Keep in mind, the KTM’s and other big brand electric bikes out there are ranging from 12 to 18,000. So with that being said, if I wanted to upgrade it , I would still be in it under 12 and it would probably be crazy to the point where I would have to control myself. When I first got it, I definitely made sure I was careful and first and second gear, now that I am more used to it. I am able to control it fairly well. I am six to weigh 190 pounds and have gotten this thing up to 65 miles an hour. From what I understand the KTM version is only able to reach about 55mph. If we had higher expectations for the bike to be flawless, I’m sure the price would be much more than what it is. In summary, it seems like the 2024 model has had a lot of the issues fixed and I am loving this thing . I’m honestly surprised how there are not more glorifying reviews of these bikes on KZbin . If you think about it, people buy surrons and put so much money into it to get them crazy fast they’re probably had about 10 K, but for this price, it’s already much faster and better in my opinion. That if you wanted to upgrade it, it would definitely be worth it. I respect your honest review. You should try to check and see if you could get your hands on a newer model. Maybe they would even consider swapping yours out for a newer one so that you could give a new review .

I've taken some time to reflect on the recent review and its approach, particularly considering the concerns raised about its objectivity. Honest and unbiased reviews are the cornerstone of constructive criticism, and it's crucial for us to consider whether these standards have been met. It appears that the review in question might have been influenced by preconceived notions or a preset negative mindset. This can happen sometimes, even unintentionally. It's important to acknowledge that a truly fair evaluation should be free from such biases, especially when assessing something as complex and nuanced as a product or service. When a review seems to validate pre-existing negative opinions, it raises a question: Was the evaluation conducted with an open mind? It's easy for all of us, as human beings, to fall into the trap of confirmation bias, where we subconsciously seek out information that supports our preconceived beliefs and ignore what doesn't. But in doing so, we might miss out on understanding the complete picture. Creating a balanced and objective review is not just about pointing out flaws or shortcomings; it's about providing a comprehensive perspective that includes the positives, the potential for improvement, and the context in which the product operates. It's about giving the audience a clear, unbiased view, so they can make well-informed decisions. The essence of a constructive review lies in its ability to inform, educate, and provide insights that are free from personal biases. It's about being fair to both the creators and the consumers of the product. A review should be a tool for improvement and growth, rather than just a platform for criticism. In light of this, it might be beneficial for reviewers to revisit their approach - to step back and reassess with a clear, unbiased mindset. Perhaps a reevaluation or a follow-up review, conducted with a fresh perspective, could provide a more balanced and comprehensive understanding. We value feedback, both positive and negative, as it drives improvement and innovation. However, it's equally important that this feedback is grounded in fairness and objectivity. Let's continue striving for reviews that are not just critiques, but catalysts for growth and betterment

Welcome to honest feedback and reviews - these seem to be a new concept for you. Just because you send someone a bike to review, it doesn't guarantee that you are going to get a good review out of it. I have seen several videos on this bike and this is not the first one where the bike shut off. It's inconceivable to me that you would send out a bike with a faulty battery - you didn't think to test ride the bike before sending it? What were you thinking? And then you send a second battery that also reads incorrectly? The throttle mapping is terrible? The incompetence is astonishing, and to try to blame this on a 'preset negative mindset' is laughable. Also, stop replying to so many posts, the damage is done and you look desperate (and possibly on substances).

This is a very repetitive, long-winded effort to discredit the (Review), albeit camouflaged. You take great pains to acknowledge Positive Comments, yet never REALLY address Specifics of any that are contrary. If you’re truly a manufacturer representative, your (Frequent) ‘Replies’ would have much more Credibility, if you addressed concerns Specifically. e.g. ‘Endorsing’ a Comment about changing gear oil, as a very indirect attempt to negate the OP Review. Why not just use (‘better’) gear oil from the outset, since you’re endorsing that as a (recommended) set-up Step ? All in all, your prolific Responses never really offer anything Specific, other than praise for anything ‘supportive’. If you truly are taking all criticisms constructively, tell viewers the Specifics actions being taken to address (Concerns/Complaints).

@@StansE250 The truth is, in the world of manufacturing, especially with complex products like electric dirt bikes, quality improvement is a journey, not a destination. This truth is fundamental to our approach at our company. 1. The evolution of product quality is an ongoing process. We recognize this especially in the case of our electric dirt bikes. Each iteration aims to be better than the last. We are grateful for the feedback provided by the community, as it is crucial for our continuous product improvement. 2: Regarding the 2022 model mentioned in the video, we have to point out that it was a previous version of our product. In fact, we have made improvements in the 2023 model, addressing the issues raised. This is not only reflected in the design and functionality of the product but also verified through positive feedback from users who have experienced the 2023 model. 3: We understand that, like any product, there will always be differing opinions. Even for products like the iPhone 15, there are criticisms. We understand that not all feedback will be positive, but we are not willing to discredit or dismiss negative opinions, and it's not necessary. 4. We believe that even our latest products may have some flaws or issues. Therefore, we welcome criticism and suggestions, as they help us continuously improve and perfect our offerings. 5. Recognizing and appreciating positive reviews is equally important. It reinforces what we are doing right and encourages our team. 6. We responsibly assert that most contrary opinions seem to come from individuals who have not directly experienced or tested our latest models, often lacking specificity in their critiques, making it difficult for us to learn from them. 7. If you have any specific questions or concerns, we are more than willing to respond immediately. We believe that only through specific communication and answers can we effectively improve our products and services.

@@StansE250 8. Concerning the content in the video, we would like to clarify that it indeed tested the 2022 model, not the latest 2023 model. This is like focusing on the shortcomings of the iPhone 14 even though Apple has already released the iPhone 15, despite the fact that these shortcomings have been addressed in the new version. 9. Moreover, we think the testing of the bike in the video was not entirely honest or objective. The video failed to accurately introduce some features of the product, even containing errors. If the video had provided more specific data, such as the actual weight of the bike, rather than just vaguely stating it is "heavier than claimed," we would consider it somewhat subjective. Furthermore, the reviewer replaced specific details, like the bike's maximum speed, with subjective and negative personal opinions, further undermining the review's objectivity. 10. We are committed to constructively accepting fair and objective criticism. If feedback is not of this nature, we will point out and still see it as an opportunity to learn and improve. 11. Finally, we solemnly declare that we offer a one-year warranty on our products. Should any defective parts be found, we will promptly send free replacements to repair your product. If, after our efforts, the product is still irreparable, we will send a new replacement unit. 12. In short, we are committed not only to continually improving our products, but also to listening and responding to feedback from our community. We believe that through this open dialog, we can not only ensure that our customers are satisfied, but also continually improve our products to make them even better.

Posting a review in December 2023 about a model released a year earlier might not give the most accurate representation of our current offerings. We've worked hard over the past year to resolve the issues that were highlighted in earlier models. The issues mentioned, such as weight, throttle modulation, and suspension concerns, were indeed reported in some of the 2022 models. We’ve taken this feedback seriously and implemented significant upgrades in subsequent models, including improved suspension and controller enhancements.

That bike has some great ideas which will probably take over the world of mid power e bikes, especially high performance dirbtike style bikes. but their execution of their idea was terrible. IF that bike were to have smooth, predictable, and controllable power then it would be very useful to have those different gears. since the bike makes very little power at all it would not be able to climb extremely steep hills or bring the front tire up almost at all if it were a single speed locked in gear 4, it would be good for fast racing but it would make no power down low for technical and enduro riding. thats why the gearbox is useful. the idea of the gearbox is that even with a low power motor you can put it in 3rd or 4th or maybe even shift between the two often for fast mx racing on a track AND you can drop it to 1st and 2nd and make enough rear wheel torque to climb straight up a wall and throw the front tire in the air for slow, technical, and hard enduro situations where you might need the instant power to throw the front tire over logs and rocks and stuff, just at the expense of a lower top speed which you don't need at all. the clutch is honestly useless since at such a low 1st and low second gear with the mostly flat power of the motor you dont need to rev up and drop the clutch to bring the front tire up, it already makes enough power. its just added complexity. plus on higher power models a clutch would be merely impossible to impliment since it would need to not slip even with insane torque going through it. gas motorcycles hive high hp but their peak torque is only like 30 nm, not much at all, so the clutch doesnt have to be massive or insane to not slip. ev's on the other hand will make 130nm out of a slow bike that makes barely 15hp so the clutch would be impossible ot make strong enough on a competitive 50 hp ev such as the stark varg, too uch torque, no clutch could handle it. the gears alone though if they could make a smooth shifting gearbox that doesnt need a clutch but rather just needs you to roll off of the throttle or even has a sensor on the shifter to shift smoothly without engine breaking when a shift is detected then it would be an amazingly useful tool, your 15 hp bike would be able to do fast mx racing over 70 kmh jumps AND have the low end power to jump straight up a cliff wall like a trails bike. if implemented properly and without a clutch then it would result in the most usable bike ever made. just imagine if the throttle control was smooth and in 1st gear on some extremely difficult terain you could slowly and smoothly put around a tree then floor it to fly up a cliff face. with a single gear drive it would be impossible to bring the front tire up at anything below 30 kmh but with 1st gear on that it would probably do a backflip if you jut held the throttle down.
