Thanks for the interview with the admiral. Speaking of seaplanes, my father was on the aircrew of a PBM Mariner during WWII. It's a shame that there isn't a fully restored WWII era PBM in existence.

I was working on the flightline in Beeville Texas in 1965 and helped train Jewish pilots! Then I was working on the flightdeck of the USS America during the 'Six Day War'! I loved every second of my time in the Navy! Thank You for your service Admiral!

@@johnnyliminal8032 Haha not quite but close. He had the demeanor and look of a Vulcan without the ears. He didn't show emotion much but had a killer sense of humor. He retired as a full colonel. He got a bit part in Top Gun Maverick.
