Isnt it 4 watcher 4 emissary instead of 4 artillerist since your augment gives you stacking dmg amp from attack speed? You just need to survive longer atp so watcher mightve been better

Augment or Evolution

Nearly impossible without a specific augment or anomaly. You can only 4* tier 1 and 2 units. There is an anomaly that can make a 3* 1 cost into a 4* (can show up only if you already have the 3*). Any augment that gives you a unit every round can get you a 4* (Worth The Wait II is the one used in this video)
