I like that this guy explains what he's doing. Most modellers have stupid music only!

Looks great, just what I wanted to see. Ive got the Lotus 72 sitting in the cupboard and think it might make for a good winter project. I used the Tin Foil on the Tamiya Lotus 25 years ago but that lent itself to the smaller scale with less detail.

Thanks Tool Racing...yes a perfect winter build, the Lotus 72 is a beautiful machine! Are you going with the gold leaf or jps (my favorite) version ?

@@MKCAUTOMODELWORKS I do love a good JPS scheme.. but I also love the Gold Leaf as well. I`ll build this one as the JPS version. Unless there is a cheap transkit about for the Gold Leaf version.

GREAT video. Lovely job you are doing. Old Tamiya kit - but still a GREAT Tamiya kit. But why did Heller and Protar select the same car?

Thanks allnie...I have no idea...wish Tamiya made a 1/12 scale version of the Brabham BT50...my favorite F1 car!

The Protar kit tub is actually Metal! The kit is a nightmare.....Tamiya got it right!!

Hey ekspatriat...is the protar kit the same as the recent italeri release, just made with plastic?
@ekspatriat Жыл бұрын
@@MKCAUTOMODELWORKS Yes. Protar made 2. 1 with metal parts...Tub/Engine etc. and 1 pure plastic. They had many more bits and bobs than Tamiya but the fit was awful. Held on to my metal 1 for 2 years then sold it on. They fetch a good price obviously because there are still plenty out there who have not built them and are none the wiser.
