Love The Alchemist. I remember I first heard his stuff through my older cousins cassette tapes (Back in the 90's when I was a snotty nosed kid). Then later I got into Dilated Peoples, and I would say, him and Dre as well as a lot of 90's producers/beat makers like you said, Dilla etc. all deeply influenced my love for Hip-Hop. You broke a lot of the things I notice in Alchs production method down very nicely and it's incredible how much this can improve modern producers methods in keeping one very important thing strong, and you point it out quite vividly. That is, to accomplish the same goal but switch it up with more uniqueness. This very aspect in production is what I believe is at the heart of all hip-hop from that period. And Alch shows it in his beat making methods, in which you point out very well and guide us through like a real boss. Thanks Nav, you are a producers delight.

THIS!!! THIS was and IS EXACTLY WHAT IS NEEDED to continue the Growth of Great HipHop and Music all together. Al is super dope. I’m also a fan of Daringer as well, kind of seems like he’s Al’s little brother (kind of looks like him too lol 😂) Great Video.like and Sub. • Just have a quick and easy question… 1. As a Musician did you know (you probably do and probably have a video about it, if so please direct me to it thank you ) but I heard you talk about “spaces” and “filling up spaces” in a few of your videos , again my apologies if you’ve already covered this… But when I’m “sifting beat’s” I DO NOT CARE what the Name is , BPM’s, who made it, why they made it or anything… • ONLY thing I look for is: • A. Did the Beat Maker leave “a space for My (or a) voice to be an actual instrument? • And If they did… I listen for about 10-15 seconds if I like it, I look through their catalog to see if this was a “one time find” or it’s actually how the beat maker make’s beat’s. • My question is did you know that most artists [Great Artists] (consciously or subconsciously) do this? • And did you also know that most of the top Producers in the world do this? • And if so do you do this? In my humble opinion that’s what make’s Al The Producer so great. Notice how he is usually working directly with the artist. I know you heard the Newest CD that Be Dropped, sounds NOTHING like Alchemist Beat’s… My Assumption because he made it for himself which A LOT of Beat Maker’s actually DO subconsciously. I have a low Barton voice, 50 Cent meet’s Yo Gotti but I’m From NY… Upstate but have been going/living down south for 5/6 years but people have told me My Whole Life I sound like I’m from the South. Lol Anyways… point is: (In next comment because this one is already so super long lol 😂 ) #welcometobucksworld #bucknorris
@Bucknorris2 жыл бұрын
… continuing from My Last comment) • I’m sure you are familiar with the song Rack’s on Rack’s… While My Brother ( #kiddrama ) and I Remixed that… didn’t spend much time on it cause it’s a remix but for him and his high to possibly high midrange voice was super easy for Him. Actually, he killed it… now for ME… uuugghh 🤦♂️ He literally had to show Me how to catch the beat and I still said F’it and just did My Thing. (It’ll be up posted here on Our Channel @bucknorris by the beginning of the week, shameless plug) point is… THAT BEAT was NOT at ALL made for ME. Not just because it’s not our song but because even YC (the human who made the original for those that don’t know) knew it wasn’t made for him. He found it… and put vocals OVER IT … just like EVERYONE on EVERY REMIX. My Brother @kiddrama is actually extremely special he can actually move THROUGH almost any beat you give him. That’s his talent besides all the things you can learn. And the way I raised him in this Hiphop is to master that… just listen to his “Look At Me Now” Remix. ONE TAKE!!! (Except the intro, adlibs and outro of course. Every time we went into the studio he would get ONE CHANCE TO GET IT RIGHT. Took a while but he got it and Yes I have it on video. Lol 😂) Anyways, I have been fortune enough to FINALLY find a Beat Maker that I enjoy not only sonically but also as a Human. Lol 😂 BUT same situation… we have been working on a collab EP for over a year or more now. So he sent me a pack of beats. Let me hold them for a few weeks like 30 (after I listened to his beat store and said what I needed) I chose the one’s I wanted… he sent me the stem’s. Idk why (maybe cause I wasn’t thinking…) but I sent the beats back that I didn’t want. Long story short. We can’t find the stem’s to the beat’s. Again, this is a beat maker that is rising fast and getting paid much more than a split with an artist that does below average number’s. Lol 😂 Anyway’s point is: Almost ALL the beat’s he sent Me were like he made them for ME and MY VOICE… (My Little Brother was in prison at the time and I thought the project was going to go faster than what it has. • BUT TO CONCLUDE… Of course I will find placement’s for Kid Drama on The EP called “The Chosen One’s” do out midsummer 2023… BUT the features I already have? #glassesmalone from the Westcoast who has a Deep Voice with that Westcoast Bounce to it on a song called “Nipsey’s Hustle” Yes, Glasses and Nip were great friends. I’m also trying to get YG on it as well. We gone bring the WHOLE CITY OUT for that one. Song is pretty much done and has been for a while now, just not an opportunist, A Talker? YES!! Lol oppertunest? Na Bro. I’m good. Meaning I didn’t bring the song out at ANY of the times most rapper’s would of to get the most clout. I’m good with all that. I respect Nip, Glasses, Lauren, YG, My Beat Maker and of course Myself to much to do that. (and Yes these are supposed to be boom bap type beat’s) listen to “The Monster Is Back” and you’ll see what I’m talking about. It’s actually the first single off the EP. But also feature #grea8gawd who also has a deep but a little higher range voice than Me. Also, will have #griselda but mostly #benny and #conway. #westsidegunn and #kiddrama might have a few bar’s on it. Also, Jelly Roll & Mickey Factz but that song will be mostly My Brother Kid Drama and I’ll have just a few bar’s because I thought the beat was for Me but after hearing Kid Drama weave in and out of it, and it’s a little bassy it’s perfect for them. • I say AAAALLL that.. to say… • Did you know this about Artist’s and Beat maker’s? • Do you notice I don’t use the word producer A LOT? That’s because Unless THE SAME PERSON make’s the beat’s, engineers the sessions and help’s PRODUCE the PRODUCT I can’t call a Beat Maker “The Producer” or “My producer” which is short form for Musical Producer which the MUSIC is NOT complete without the vocals. As you see I do Executive Produce the projects… but NOBODY call’s a Rapper a producer they call them a rapper or singer, or Vocalist, etc. • Lot to unpack. I already know. I do hope I added some value and didn’t waste your’s or anyone else’s time. Remember… don’t forget the artist is also an instrument… Feel free to check out the songs I directed you to and leave some feed back (most are just MP3 beat file’s and an amazing engineer lol Anybody looking to work… I do work on split’s. I have made Beat maker’s residual income since 2015 and they are still getting check’s once a month. So feel free to comment on My Video’s where I can find your beat’s. Thank you for your time and you are appreciated. P.s. I also have two other surprise features for “The Chosen One’s” EP. Love your videos man! Long time subscriber. For sure Alchemist is my favorite too. I wanted to know if you can make a breakdown of his instrumental for 360 Waves, Durag Dynasty. The beat has two parts but what intrigues me is what he did with the first part. Seems like he layered different samples, but he used the bass hits as the kicks? It's really interesting. Thanks for the information!

Hey bro, great vid!! recently became a fan, and watched EEEEVERY SINGLE vid of yours 😊 ur soooo sooo good, i wish i had ur brains p.s. can i ask you something? right now im in such a weird uninspired place. I read a lot of books and watch a lot of movies but i just dont find aaany relatable or insteresting thing to sing/rap bout... What do YOU do when you find urself uninspired? Thanks Ziga! I try my best not to use inspiration as a means of getting to work. Usually, I try to force myself to start working even if I don't feel like it. Eventually, I find something that sparks an idea in me and then things start to snowball. But even if they don't, I still feel good about my day as long as I put in some amount of work.

The constant sound is a pedal tone and you are right it’s used to fill up space.

Simplicity is Genius.I learnt that moons ago in production.I learnt the best way to approach your creativity is make something that’s used sound like it’s new.To me that’s genius production. On that note Alchemist style of production is genius,my top 10 producer of all times...
