You actually missed a pretty important tip that not many beginner players use- using dodge as an extra jump. For a long time I honestly had no idea how the pros got to the stadium after being so far down, until I realized that you could actually use normal and speed dodges to get back up to the stadium.

Dunno who it was with, but one guy grabbed a weapon, went to a specific part of the stage, and just spammed one move back and forth over and over and over and over until he went from -3 to +15. I know there was probably a good way of countering it, but it was my second match, and the guy was a prick after the match too. Lotta using the words "yeah sure noob l2p" and "kid" that makes me suspect he'd just turned 13 two days prior. What I wish I knew before playing Brawlhalla: I would not enjoy Brawlhalla.

Well 1st, there is no such a thing has " spammers " in game. Only a @$$h0l€ that falls for the same trick Over and Over and Over and Over again WITHOUT NEVER LEARN! You can only enjoy Brawlhalla or any other fighting game when you 1st learn its mechanics. I'm pretty sure you don't even know how to perform a single basic combo with your favourite hero, and you just keep mashing the same [STRONG-ATK-2-the-KNOCK-OFF-THE-MAP-24/7 Will HIT SOMEDAY] over and over and over and over until you get punished. Ever thought about use LIGHT-atk(that are way easyer to land), combine it with 2 or 3 more hits and then use the [STRONG-ATK-2-the-KNOCK-OFF-THE-MAP-24/7, THAT WILL HIT 4 SURE]? You will get a surprise on how fun and satisfying it is, to land all the hits in a string and push ur opponent out of the map like a "bawss". I didn't like it either, until I actually try it a little harder. Thats where fighting games shine, you gotta have a Will-Of-Iron to keep going you will lose alot, but once you grasp the mechanics, oh boy!

Alucard It was literally only his second match, and trust me, even if you're amazing at other games similar to Brawlhalla, YOU WILL FAIL IMMEDIATELY in your first few matches. Plus, at least they'd now know not to fall for that trick again.

@@lrdalucardart Countering them isn't hard in 1v1's, but in ffa, forget about it. Once you get a hold of him after him killing the other two nitwits a bunch of times, the exact other two that fell for it will attack you while you try to get him. Next thing you know, he slips away and a second later you (along with the other two) are in a perfect position to be spam killed by the piece of trash while those two either distract you, or make you able to hardly move with their neutral lights. (Sorry if this sounded confusing btw)

Combos will never work for me because I panic whenever I PvP. In any game. I stop thinking and just use whatever attack is the best for the situation I'm in. If I'm with friends, I don't care, but I'm seriously afraid of playing against strangers (I think "What do they think about me ? Are they gonna say something mean after the battle ?").

I use Q and Space for dodge (I use W for jump and aim up, I just cant play in a different way than that) I use Q for only dodging, while I always use space when I do GCs, call me idiot if you want

I dont want to get a mentor. I like to do things myself without help in games. When I started the game I was like: "wtf is this" Now im plat 3 and its just satisfying that I didnt need help for this. I did it myself without help, and its so much better when you can figure out the things you do in the game, or watch a video about it and training. And the best training is playing so why do you need mentor when you have berthen and training mode? :D

Yes I used Berthen videos for combo learning, and training but I was the one who trained the combos in training mode not Berthen, I was the one who won all of those ranked games not berthen, and I was the one who didnt ragequit every loss of my games. And I was the one who earned plat. Yes Berthen had a part of it, and I like Berthen vids. But you wont learn anything from the game if you just like watch vids and dont play, so I think I had more part of it than Berthen. Think what you want. I did it myself :).

As a pure scythe main I can say that Brawl League has a lot of toxic mentors. I learned from there and I recommend getting to know the mentor because the chemistry matters SOOO much.

After 300 hours, I changed my left hand position (I used WASD with 4 fingers instead of 3), I stopped using mouse with my right hand, I disabled pickup with light attack and I separated jump and aim up. I couldn't move for 20 matches, then I learned combos I never had been able to perform...

Does Brawl league have mentors for EU players? Not interested in doing tournaments but... I got to gold 5 relatively fast, since then I can't go higher. Doing a reset from ranked with hours of training mode, practicing combos, match ups, but in game I still struggle against plat 1 players...

Just play who ever interests you the most. I'd suggest Hattori and Roland though.

Try a few different Legends with different weapons, and find your favourite ones. Once you know what weapons you like, you can start to find the right Legend for you in terms of stats and signature moves. But weapons are the main thing to learn.

Menkhor Yeah,I think that's the besto too. But if you want,you can start learning the sword.Simply because sword is one of the weapon with most combinations(Bow,Katar,Axe,Lance,Gauntlet,R Lance,Hammer and maybe Blasters too),has easy basic strings and combos to learn and has a good range and damage(Not OP,but really good)
