Hey guys , am new insurance agent and covid19 popped up. Do you have any learning videos or webinars , how to approach prospects and get a deal in this situation as new agent ? Most ppl unaware, uneducated and they still have lack of value. Any advice or link ? ☺️thanks in advance “uae”

@@NoziM0686 I'm not them but it depends on where you live most likely. So far I go door to door and I've only had one person even mention covid. Even before covid were trained to knock and take steps back as to not seem intimidating which also works as social distancing. I dont wear a mask but i keep one in my pocket. If they are going to let me in and I tell them I have a mask if they'd like me to put it on to go in their home. No one has told me to put it on. Again, that can depend on where you live and how bad covid is in that area. I'm in west virginia which is getting taken over by out of state people because they think it's a magical place that cant get it. They're actually bringing it with them. Knock, take steps back and be about 6 feet away from the door. Have a mask on you and ask if they want you to wear it when you enter the house. If they're letting you in without one on the odds are they dont care.

I agree training is definitely the biggest thing. Most FMO's barely do any training, they throw the agent into the fire, and the agent is left having to figure it out themselves.

What a treat! I'm new to the insurance industry, and just about everyday I watch David DuFord, this channel, and Terry Wilson in the order I found the channels. This rotation is part of my personal training. It's nice to see a David DuFord featured interview. Thanks both of you for collaborating to share this helpful information!

The opening when Cody starts with, "when I think of you I think of ... then this and that " is a PUA trick to flatter the other person. Very smart to combine PUA tricks with selling insurance. I am going to do that too. I am new in the USA and love to learn doing sales here!

This is really great interview to start the new year. The talking points on right on. I think most agents struggle with taking massive action or getting in front of people and I’m guilty of this as well. This business is simple but is not easy. I specialize in mortgage protection and I know it is a different market than final expense. Getting out and seeing people is something I want to do but I cannot be scared of doing my job. I just have to go out there and do it no matter what happens!

Hi David, I started buying leads from a company called Elevatz Marketing , you can Google them or I could pass the contact number along to you. Now I do generate my own Facebook leads, and it's a lot cheaper that way. Actually Cody mentored me in lead generation, and so far it's going great!

I JUST joined the Life Insurance Agent world. I found it while scrolling for at home jobs while on my second round on medical leave since April. You mentioned buying the book for people, is that still a possibility for me? I'd LOVE to learn from both of you and have been watching your KZbin channel often! And I know once I learn more, I WILL be successful! I keep telling myself, "Yes, 92% of agents never make it, but then that means 8% does!" when I do succeed I'm buying myself and 8%ers Tshirt! I'll get one for you too! Deal?! ~ Amy

Text vs phone calls? I'm coming from car sales and I'm out of my comfort zone with the transition but I'm optimistic. I've sold plenty of cars through texts. How's the closing ratio for setting appointments via texts? I've signed up with Modern Woodmen of America for the training but it's pretty basic sales scripts so far. And who's Dave's friend in Columbia, SC.?

I teach a 12 touch system in the first 72 hours. So day 1 = 3 Calls, 1 text, 1 voicemail. Day 2= 2 Calls, 1 text, 1 voicemail. Day 3 = 1 Call, 1 text, 1 voicemail

Working on my license and deciding on two opportunities- I have no experience or money to get never to begin with- A.) call center with generous base salary, benefits and commissions. No residuals or renewals. Considering in order to save money and gain experience for 6months to a year and then go back to independent B.) with an insurance broker. 100% commission, vested from day one- residuals and renewals Any advise if it would be worth choosing either option?

@gracegood3661
@gracegood3661 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kimberly.... I’ve been in sales for thirty years and if I might offer one suggestion? Stop quoting jobs. Your value in any sales is as trusted adviser not a service or product flogger. The quote is solution for the problem you have worked through with the client. If you quote a job you are giving away your value and being just like the other guy. It becomes a race to lowest price regardless of if in fact it is the best viable solution. Just a thought... best of fortune to you. Grace
