It is amazing how people blame the small business resellers though the biggest reseller that takes all the great stuff first is goodwill themselves. Do you only go to a thrift store to resell? Doesn't anyone go to thrift stores anymore to buy things for themselves or for a friend? Is the entire KZbin thrift shoppers videos full of resellers? I am not a reseller and only shop at thrift stores to buy clothes or something I can use at home. It's getting harder and harder to shop anymore because all these people around me seem to be resellers, constantly looking up prices on their phones, etc. and then turn around and resell for exorbitant prices. I've looked at quite a lot of thrift shop videos and all I see so far are all resellers. I remember the "good old days" when no one was reselling and constantly looking up things on a phone (before Smartphones) and just went to thrift stores to be able to find clothes or something for their kitchen or some books and records. Just to buy for themselves or gifts for friends or family because retail stores were too expensive for us on very limited incomes.

@@suzannelawson9215 Hi! I shop at thrift stores for my business primarily, but I do pick up things for me & my family when I need to. I stay at home with our toddler & my husband owns his own business. We used to rely on just his income until I started selling vintage. Most people on KZbin who film “thrift with me” videos are doing so because they resell. A lot of people are reselling now because the cost of living is so high. They aren’t making enough at their 9-5 job, so they have to do things like reselling on the side to make ends meet. It’s one of the easiest things to do for extra money. Resellers have existed forever. It’s just more common now. Also, the “good old days” were probably back when people could afford to live, so they didn’t have to resell or thrift. I’m also assuming that was back before everyone had a cell phones to check the value of items.
