This is a very professional-quality video on the subject for how few views there are. As an aspiring game dev that hasn't finished a single project I've started over the last couple of years, I'm surprised I haven't run into this channel before!

One trick I use to continue working is that I think of my game in terms of milestones rather than the finished product. I don't know if I'll ever finish my game, but I do know that I can reach the next milestone.

what I do is get a new idea. start working on it. her bored halfway through, finish all the features I need to make a playable game. half ass all the polish then just publish it.

What if you don't have clear "goals" for example if you want to make an RPG, because you like RPG mechanics, but you don't know what the story should be.

If the game idea needs a strong story, might be worth deep diving into just writing that for a bit, generating some of those ideas. Again though, this mentality is just a tool to get you unstuck if you are not feeling excited about the project anymore

Tip 5: capitalise your C. I gave up on a project for a month, came back to it, and realised that React.Component has a capital C.
