Fyi, and the insight. In NYC, those rooftop 'terrace' are restricted to a Building Fire Code for cannot host by exceeding certain amount of occupancy capacity per period of time in a day for the relative to its high elevations for the public commercial use such bar/party-gathering. The taller the floors required more codes to comply. That's the reason why you had to have a waiting reservation in most times, not because the narrative of how busy the patrons for these roof-deck bar/restaurant joints.

@@CKology yes. Because the majority of the rooftop terrace/decks' area square footage arent large due to the relative small size of each parcel land lot in NYC especially Manhattan's iron grid. The smaller the area means it would only hold smaller number of patrons per code allowed. Im in a building industry and design, building code is strictly enforced in NYC.

Yeah that bar really charges whatever they want. A day before I visited Elon Musk booked the whole place and my reservation took quite a while to come through. Good luck. Two more videos of NY coming: The best food and the MET, stay tune.
