1.Don't need the Binoculars 2. dont need the radio. 3. DO NOT take so many medical supplies. If you get killed (and you probably will), thats A LOT of valuable equipment going to the enemy. -- 2 bandages, -- 1 plasma The entire squad should be aware of your general location. If they get wounded they should get to you, ASAP. if they are critically wounded, they should get carried, or you go them with covering fire, from the squad - in a clear area. [Slightly important] 4. Keep the pistol, put ONE magazine in, and thats it. Do NOT worry about having one in the inventory. Only one mag, loaded in, already. You arent meant to engage as the medic, you should be in the rear of the advance. If you encounter them, your main goal is to run.

Hope someday we can don a Medic outfit or just an arm band and helm or something so people know whom to bring wounded to for treatment, and to see who on the enemy team follows the no shooting medics rule of war. 1)"Load" your kits when you re-arm; just like you would with your sidearm. Many people don't seem to know that when you first put your kit in your hand, it puts a bandage/plasma in it, freeing up some extra space. 2) When possible, stay below 44% encumbrance so that you don't go over 100% when carrying a wounded soldier (Bodies weigh 55%) The ability to sprint while carrying a body allows you to snatch up the wounded in-betweeen enemy reloads and retreat to cover where you can safely revive. 3) When recovering a downed soldier/body, put your weapon away before going after it. If you don't, you'll awkwardly spend that second or two putting it away while you stand next to the body, in the open, probably while getting shot at. 4) If you see another medic healing/reviving someone, DO NOT try to help. They have it handled, and you're just endangering everyone's life by clumping.

By the way, what do you call a critically wounded soldier ? One you can revive with trauma kit ? Or the next stage, when the player respawns ? If it's the first option (which I believe in, having failed to.find a way to carry dead soldiers), what's the interest of carrying them to hospital rather than reviving them ? Economy of plasma ? Shirts business ?
@thelonecabbage78342 жыл бұрын
@@lc1138 Critically wounded soldiers are the "dead" ones that are laying on their side, rather than the ones that are splayed out like normal. They weigh quite a bit, so as per tip #2, if you're not under 44% weight, you'll immediately become encumbered, and unable to run, but you CAN walk them back. If you carry a primary weapon, you can save a good bit of weight by not carrying a sidearm, and visa versa.

@@lc1138 Sorry about the late reply, but to pick them up, I think "K" is the new default hotkey for large objects. It's the same key you'd use to pick up other large objects as well, like artillary shells, or sandbags/barbed wire. I believe you need to be standing as well.
@BDNeon3 жыл бұрын
You don't need to use the E menu anymore for submitting large items. All you have to do is just left click while facing whatever you can submit it to, and you drop it in without even having to open the menu. (Still need to access hospital menu though to actually submit patient for the conversion process). This also applies to things like artillery shells. Also, you don't need to right click to heal someone or revive someone, just left clicking alone while roughly facing them is enough.
@SignificantOwl Жыл бұрын
Good stuff, generally! For 1: Way, way too much kit. Bring the 2 kits, load each with 1 "ammo," then bring 4-5 spare bandages and 1-2 spare plasma. No radio, no binoculars, hammer very optional. Maybe a little extra pistol ammo. I've seen far too many medics load up with far too much stuff, and then get killed after 10 seconds at the front. It's wasteful, and shouldn't be encouraged. You also generally use way more bandages than plasma, so it's even more insane to bring like 10 plasma, which I've seen far too many friendly medic corpses lugging around.

Another really important tip: When you have a wounded player on your back, you'll notice they almost act as a one hit shield. This can be frustrating, especially when you're at the edge of your enemies range and they would do very little damage if they were to hit you, but one shot the wounded player. Turns out, the hitbox is somewhat directional. When enemies fire at your back, it will hit the patient, but at your front, and it will hit you. Turns out, if you hold down LMB while holding a wounded patient, you will face the direction of your crosshair, but your speed will not be affected. This means if you want to take the bullet for someone, or feel that you are on the edge of your enemies range (past the white line), you can by holding LMB towards the direction of fire. This is especially useful at night time. Warden only tho, doesn't work for collies

Respawn burns soldier supplies called "Shirts", and if the defensive is getting pounded hard, those "Shirts" will start going away really really fast, and if they run out the base can't be used as a respawn point anymore. Also, if you get carried to a hospital you deny the enemy the chance of stealing your supplies, while preventing the loss of s "Shirt" that could be possibly very valuable down the line, so these resources should be conserved as much as possible.

@Farkas1222 жыл бұрын
A critically wounded soldier is the one who you can't revive and only carry (or transport with an ambulance) to a hospital or field hospital, where they will be turned into shirts which are basically the amount of how many times players can respawn. A soldier who can be revived is just laying on the ground and raising their arms up but most of the time those players scream into their microphone saying something along the lines of: "MEDIIIIIIC AHHHHHHHHHHHH OH MY GOD I AM DYIIIING AHHHH HEEEEEEEEEELP" or just "Medic, please help", you can also pick these players up but you have a limited time of doing so, 30 seconds I believe before they turn into critically wounded soldiers (aka, they respawn). So if you stand near a wounded soldier and press E, you can pick them up and get them to a safer place but you can't put them in a hospital or into an ambulance although I am not sure about the latter, you can only revive them with a trauma kit before they turn into a critically wounded soldier of course. Hope this explained it.
