I think the reason for Zannu instead of Thannu is that depending on our native language, the part of the sound may be different. Dhzaad is a letter that's not very common in other languages.

Yes this is shahada mentioned in Quran by God sura 3:18. Lai Illaha Illallah. adding anyone's name next to God is shirk which is unforgivable sin. Sura 72:18 all mosques belong to Me don't mention anyone's name besides Me

I’ve never heard of the word being interpreted this way. I’ve always just thought it meant the time before islam. Like the companions would talk and say “ during jahelia” meaning “ during the time of ignorance” as in before islam. This interpretation is also very valid i was just very surprised since i have never read it that way.

Jazakallah to those who contributed to this video. After watching this video it is clear that we are still living with Alot of jahilliya even in the west when you look at some people’s behaviour. What baffles me is when these negative behaviours are encouraged and not corrected by wider society. Some people do try to intervene but they are punished for it physically or verbally. Alhumdalilah Islam is the true remedy for humanity.

Theocracies are not always places of reason and sound judgement either. I appreciate that the speaker calls attention to religious supremecy as also being a form a jahiliia too. After all, could replacing one form of tribalism with another really be what Islam was meant to achieve? Looking down on others? Violence towards others? Viewing others as less than human? Racism (you know it goes on, don't deny it - Jews, Afro-Caribbean). Be careful that these cartoons, as cute as they seem, don't guide you into demonizing everybody outside of the ummah. The line between good and evil does not run between religions or states, but within every human heart. Muslim ones too. And everyone wants to be seen as human. Not just Muslims.
