Hey Anders, so glad seeing you come up with a new NA cocktails video! I'm an 18 year old home bartender (for now) and I'm specializing myself in non alcoholic cocktails! I just wanted to share my signature recipe because of what you said at the end of your video! I called it the State of Mind: 60ml strongly brewed (twice as much tea as you normally would) black, winter tea (something with notes of spices, apples, and citrus) 20ml 100% cranberry juice 20ml maple syrup 4ml apple cider vinegar 3-4ml ginger juice Roll it 5-7 times, serve into an old fashioned glass over a big ice cube, express lemon oils, and garnish with a cinnamon stick, burnt on the tip (to consume quickly for the smoke to come to your nose). You're my favourite cocktail creator out there with kevin kos, so keep up with the great videos, and more non alcoholic things please!!

I made a great mocktail recently with cucumber, mint, lime juice and ginger syrup. 5-6 slices of cucumber and 6-8 mint leaves, muddled 1,5 oz lime juice 1,5 oz ginger syrup The ginger syrup gives it a nice bit of spice and flavor to make up for it having no alcohol, it’s yummy! Also good to top it up with a bit of tonic

Here's my girlfriend's and mine new favorite mocktail (we just recently came up with it, so this video and call to action are right on time! 😄): The "Hornless Unicorn": 2oz (60ml) fresh Pineapple juice 1oz (30ml) fresh Lime juice 1oz (30ml) Passion fruit syrup, semi-rich 0.5oz (15ml) Heavy Cream Combine in a shaking tin, shake well with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe. It's tart, it's refreshing, but also sweet and fruity, and the cream adds that nice "weighty" texture 😄🦄

My go-to lately has been an NA "Smokey margarita": 2 oz fresh lime juice 1 oz agave or simple syrup 4 dashes orange bitters 4 drops Wright's liquid smoke 5 oz can of Fever Tree tonic water Add lime juice, agave/simple syrup, orange bitters, liquid smoke, and ice to a shaker. Shake to your liking. Pour over ice, top with tonic water. I haven't tried adding a salted or sugared rim to this drink yet, but I've been curious how that would turn out so I may give it a shot tomorrow. I find the agave syrup gives it a darker color, more like what you might expect from a reposado margarita, but both standard simple syrup and agave taste good to me.

@dragonridershiru if you want a little more "kick", cut a few slices of jalapeño and add it to your shaker tin. My wife likes hers spicy, and I usually add 3-4 slices for her. I on the other hand only require 1-2 if they are reasonably spicy peppers. 😂

Here's a little concoction I started making while bored out of my mind in my apartment during the recent snow storm that I like to call the Countertop Collins. In a chilled collins glass: - roughly a 1/4 oz apple cider vinegar - a barspoon or so of agave nectar - 2-3 dashes of angostura bitters - a can of seltzer (I've been using polar blackberry mango) Combine the vinegar, agave and bitters in a glass and stirred to combine, then top off with the seltzer. It's got a really nice nutmeg finish, weirdly enough. very tasty

I only came here to say something similar, and while I'm at it let me ask, "Dry January", WTF is that? That's for people who are afraid to experience life to its fullest. You can enjoy all year 'round, just don't be an arschloch!!! Back to the mocktails thing, while that's not my jam I can appreciate it and am actually all for it. On the other hand, if I'm offered a choice between a mocktail and a Hemingway Daiquiri I might lean towards the Hemingway.

I’ve only made 3 so far on my channel but love these ideas! The ones I did I thought were super tasty. Favourite one was a cucumber-cilantro mocktail: 2 cucumber wheels, pinch of cilantro, 22.5ml lime juice, 15ml agave, top with soda and crushed ice. Royal garden: 30ml lemon juice, 15ml rose syrup, 15ml strawberry purée, mint, top with soda Coco-cherry: (In a blender), cherries, white chocolate, coconut cream. More of a shake type drink but delicious 😋

@@dershow88 Unless you're avoiding added alcohol on principle, the amount is negligible. If you add two dashes of ango to a 200ml drink, you'll end up with less than 0,5% ABV, which is similar to many fruit juices.

I've been working on my mocktail game this year and have been posting them to my Facebook feed. This is one I came up with last week. Might still need some tweaking. I call it With Malus (the Latin term for apple). Both for the apple reference and that the vinegar gives this a punch and hence malice. With Malus 1 1/2 oz Fresh pressed apple juice 1/2 oz Maple syrup 1/2 oz Apple cider vinegar 1 oz Pomegranate juice Few dashes of Aromatic bitters Shaken until shaker is frosted. Double strain into a chilled coup glass. Top with fresh grated cinnamon, a dried apple slice, and some pomegranate arils.

While mocktails that achieve their own flavor profiles instead of attempting to mimic proofed spirits are often the best, I still appreciate having many of the other characteristics of a cocktail represented, like texture and nose. I've had some success getting the "burn" typical of alcohol shine through in my mocktails by using drinking vinegars. They usually also bring some other flavors into the drink, but if you find a drinking vinegar that compliments your other ingredients, it can be really interesting and add another dimension!

FWIW - You can use cannellini bean liquid for aqua faba, but it helps immensely to freeze-condense it first. So, fill a small ice cube tray with the cannellini liquid, freeze it, then remove them to a freezer bag and put back in the freezer and wait for at least a few days to a week. The water ice will sublimate some out of the surface of the bean liquid cube, helping it condense so that it whips better after gentle melting. Cannellini liquid has a more neutral flavor and whiter color than chickpea.

They also like making a "Pink Lemonade" using Hibiscus tea / or syrup, lemon juice and soda water and my 10 year old's original "L'orange" - pressed juice from an orange and lemon, 4 dashes Ango bitters, 2 orange bitters, simple syrup, hard shake then dirty dumped and topped with soda. I tried to make a virgin Mojito, but this one ended up looking different (its orange instead of white), so now its called a Ginger Nojito: 5 mint leaves, washed 1 bar spoon demerara sugar (can use brown sugar too) 3 dashes Angostura bitters Stir for 30s 1 oz lime cordial (or whatever equivalent for squeezed lime) Stir for 10s Fill with ice 4 oz Schweppes ginger ale 4 oz Schweppes soda water Tastes really nice, similar to lemon, lime, bitters and the singaporean Gunner. Basically ginger ale/beer with a hint of mint and lime. Fill in a large highball glass. If it can't fit, just half the liquid. Don't put too much lime cordial as it overpowers everything

It's my birthday today, so I will not participate for Dry January. But all of these look really good especially the Cumulonimbus and the Sereni-Tea NOW!!! Thank you for the recipes Anders.

Great ideas thanks! Just wandering what makes the foam in the Cumulonimbus so thick? I’ve seen it once in the Ramos gin fizz, just not sure how to create an original to get that same consistency. Thanks 😊

I'm curious as to how the egg white is safe in these mocktails. Usually the alcohol essentially cooks the eggs chemically, making it safe, but what about when there's no alcohol?

It's similar to using raw egg whites in a meringue. Good quality and clean eggs are important. If still concerned, aquafaba's a great alternative.

If you're worried, buy pasteurized eggs.
