@Kitty La Roux - Actually there are three that speak in monotone. One does it just because that is the way he speaks. I can't stand to listen to him, but it is not his fault because he is not doing it intentionally. The other two, though, are doing it trying to sound creepy and completely failing. I don't want to name names, though.

All of these cases are sooo weird. 😵 I honestly do not know what to make of the first 2 cases except maybe they were tricked into human trafficking/slavery. I have the feeling Soledad may have been targeted by a serial killer. It's just a coincidence she happened to have been in a toxic unfaithful relationship unless the lover maybe hired someone to kill her. And I have heard of the Juan Pedro case before. I do believe he was kidnapped by drug traffickers. But then again, was he even there in the first place?!? 😵 Weird cases.....

Wait what?! There's a huge difference in appearance from cutting a head off and it being ripped off by animals..how could they not tell the difference.
@troumer5 жыл бұрын
It sounds like most of the soft tissue had decomposed. If so, it is difficult to tell unless the cut was made by an electric knife/saw or was cut by someone with years of experience. IOW, an animal bite on neck vertebra can look very similar to someone cutting with a regular knife or saw if the skin and neck muscles are gone. (I've know this from other true crime shows--not personal experience. I've never been to Spain, I swear...)
@TheAlmightyAss3 жыл бұрын
What if someone cut off a person's head using an animal?
@sarahlovee42293 жыл бұрын
@@TheAlmightyAss well thatd be a high power decapitation not cutting it off.
@sarahlovee42293 жыл бұрын
@@troumer true but there's still a difference in the bone too...cutting a head off would leave straight cuts...animals aren't very careful. I feel like there would be some bite marks in the bone...wouldn't they take more than the head too? I mean isn't that why people leave body's out there? Cause if left long enough to start breaking down, the wilderness basically handles most of the body...all you'd find is MAYBE feet in shoes and scattered bones. All my knowledge is also based on other crime things and science classes. Slight research with the body farm.
@troumer3 жыл бұрын
@@sarahlovee4229 Note: This is maybe a bit more graphic than usual comments; please be warned as needed. I'm not trying to be gross--just a few observations. 1) Often ppl who cut off part of a body make multiple cuts that are very sloppy. They stop and reposition the knife several times, use multiple blades and/or partly pull apart the hacked-up joints as they get frustrated, scared, etc. It can look a lot like an animal. 2) Some animal bites can be much cleaner than you'd think. This is especially true if soft tissue has already decayed a bit and/or another scavenger has already been there. Some animals make exploratory bites (that do not damage bone) until they find a vulnerable joint. This often happens if an animal doesn't feel safe eating where the corpse is located. It will bite off part and drags it elsewhere to eat. It looks VERY clean. It isn't like a pet dog with a bone. 3) While a specialist can often tell the difference between bites and cuts, it becomes more difficult if the skeleton is weathered because the cut marks lose detail. In other words, the longer it's exposed to elements, the more dulled and "generic" the cut/bite marks become. Add to this that not every jurisdiction has access to every kind of specialist AND that individual specialists often disagree with each other. 4) I share your frustration that this kind of thing happens. I'm just saying it's not surprising and not always due to negligence. Interpreting evidence can be aggravatingly inexact. Crimes that hinge on evidence like this often get less coverage BECAUSE of this ambiguity. It makes ppl uncomfortable for obvious reasons. Sorry this is such a long comment.

With the truck crash case - if the breaks weren't working that may explain why they were trying to crash into trucks - the bigger the truck the more likely that it would make them stop without being to hurt, they might have been trying to crash carefully. Perhaps they helped the boy try to safely jump out to avoid him being in the crash, he may have gotten hurt, killed or lost after this - but that would explain why his body wasn't found.

I'm Spanish and the last case it's not that famous anymore, at least to younger generations like me, but it's considered "Europe's strangest missing person's case" to this day because of the circunstances. Las niñas de Alcasser's murders or Marta del Castillo's case (Marta is only a couple of years older than me, it made a huge impact on teenage girls at that time) are not completely resolved and they are still very relevant in Spanish society, if someone wants to take a look at them. The police did a terrible job in both cases, especially the first one.
