Came across this channel by accident, but likely because I’ve been watching lots of other true crimes & mysteries. I am going to be picky on this Ireland programme though & think you maybe could have checked some pronunciations. Can maybe understand the town & place names, but a persons’s name is important. I am currently on the part about Ciara Breen, and you say it as it sounds, i.e. “seara” but it’s pronounced, “kiara” completely different 😰

This is why people need to watch more of these crime videos like this. How in the hell do you see someone running from a car half dressed, dragged by their hair, bear hugged etc. don't think, well I can at least take a mental note of the car, license plate, color, description of the men etc etc. WTF?! How can you watch all that in the span of what...2-3 mins and not get any useful information?

@T. Shaw I completely agree! Where I live, I guarantee that I would have gotten 3 clean shots off, used one of the dead men's cell phones to call the police and then casually rolled off into the night! And what's going on with all of these "sex offenders" on the streets? It's not hard to make a noose!

Me and a friend live near the Wicklow mountains where some people claim a lot of bodies have been hidden over the years. Recently enough there were body parts found...me and a friend were camping pretty much at the base of the mountains when we were kids. We climbed a small hill at night to look at Dublin city in the horizon. I saw a guy come out of the woods with a stick or shovel in his hand, coming towards the path we were on. He didn't see us until he got close. I said hi or something to ease the tension but he didn't say anything. We backed off slowly, back down the hill. As soon as we lost sight of him we ran back to our tents. Thing is my friend claims he doesn't remember seeing him, but he does remember running...I remember waking up in my tent to the sound of footsteps too...It could be a made up memory or dream, but the fact my friend remembers parts of it, and that I get the chills and tear up everytime I think about it must mean something. I believe there are serial killers here, and I think I might have seen one of them.

Since Ive seen so many comments about using different police in the video, Id like to clear it up. I only use different police in the video if I cannot find a better image of Garda for that specific situation. All of them are for illustrations only. And also, I'm not trying to click bait or make it up, I do believe it could be a serial killer or it may very well be separate cases. Ive provided a link to news sources and articles in the description that refer to it as "the vanishing triangle."

Dear Merc: This is a great video, but you must always keep in mind that this set of 8 disappearances might all be just a "fluke", that is, a chance occurrences of 8 separate cases. That you or anyone sees a "pattern" in these cases is just a theory, a function of your imagination, until some "hard" evidence proves otherwise. It's like someone staring at the clouds in the sky and "seeing" different images in the clouds. Here in America what makes this quite possible is that are just so many unsolved murders here. 33% of all homicides reported in America since 1965 remain unsolved. That's a BIG percentage & amounts to 1000's of unsolved murders. With SO Many unsolved murders, it's easy to see patterns that may not be there. The "Smiley Face" murders & the 411 Missing cases may be examples of that. In the UK the so called Manchester Pusher may be another such nonexistent pattern. The point is, at least here in America, there are just SO Many unsolved murders that it's easy to see patterns that just don't exist. ... So.Experienced@gmail.com

@@JosephKulik2016 8 women all around the same age going missing in a 5 year time period in an 80 mile area seems pretty noteworthy though, especially since they simply vanished and none have ever been found. Ignore all those who give out about something so stupid as a picture. A Garda, a Cop or a police officer, a picture of any of these is just the same. As you said it was for illustration purposes. So again don't be letting people get to you over something so small. Oh and by the way great video. I'm from Dublin Ireland and remember when this all started as I was 16 or 17 at the time. Hopefully all the families get closure 😔😔

I have friends who’ve been in strip clubs in Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria. They found it weird that there was a lot of Irish and English girls stripping in these countries. But I haven't really heard any recent ones on this list. So maybe it was the Murphy guy. If he is still in prison probably why the disappearances stopped. But he should be out now. Maybe the cops aren't that good there I mean 3 months gone. It should of been instantly with all the missing girls to investigate that disappearance.

Three main reasons why these cases have never been solved: 1. No bodies, no crime scene, no DNA and Ireland's terrain where it is easy to hide bodies in vast areas like the Dublin mountains. 2. Gardai have gotten better at dealing with missing persons cases but weren't set up properly to deal with them back then when these girls went missing. 3. People covering up for the killers. With no bodies and no confessions it is hard to see any of these cases being solved but I really hope they can be someday.

1). Detectives should recognize the following similarities: Each victim was near a *pub, restaurant, or bank within 48 hours prior* to their disappearance. Police should check if any carpentry was done at all these establishments, (one suspect was a carpenter) or if any drinks suppliers, delivery companies or other suppliers had all of these businesses as common clients. Perhaps these women were "chosen" while someone was delivering goods & driving from, or to, these establishments and offered them a lift, or followed them home. 2). I suspect that the perpetrator(s) had a fake police ID or some way of *making these ladies feel immediately at ease* - Hence no struggle, and even vanishing 200yards from home. These women at least initially went willingly with their killer(s). 3). At 21:29 the *CCTV footage of Deirdre* shows a man in black trousers and dark t-shirt that crosses the frame towards the left side (our right hand side) - distinctly to walk behind Deirdre, it seems odd - as there was no one coming towards him, he could have continued to walk straight ahead, but positioned himself behind her. He also walks faster, seeming to keep up with her. It may be coincidence but he seems to match the build of Murphy at 25:17. Police should have checked his exact alibi and location at the day and time of that footage of Deidre.

Where I live, you will be identified by caller ID, and if not, be asked to identify yourself. You will be treated as a suspect in some cases, particularly if you report an vehicle accident. Not calling protects your right against self-incrimination at least in the United States. Self-incrimination covers both a crime you may have been involved in and a situation where you might appear to be guilty when your are not, if you reveal certain information.

Here’s the thing I’ve followed this religiously for years and I honestly don’t think any of them are connected. If you do a bit of research into each case it’s kinda obvious as to who killed them (with the exception of Imelda who literally did seem to just vanish).. I think maybe there may be a possibility of JoJo and Deirdre being connected but as for the rest, no. I think both of the Fiona’s and Ciara were killed by current/ex partners of theirs, the theory in Annie’s case of the IRA being involved sounds kind of promising, I think Eva was most likely a victim of circumstance and likely didn’t know her killer.
@gorillaguerillaDK
@gorillaguerillaDK 5 жыл бұрын
David Brennan So, that means, either the police is highly ineffective, or Irish men who murder their partners is all just ver good at hiding the bodies? Not impossible of course, and I'm not saying you're wrong, not at all! I just wonder, you see, most people will make mistakes when they murder a partner, as it is usually in the heat of an argument or similar, most often there will be traces of fighting, (scratchmarks on the skin, traces of blood/hair etc.), - and they then have to hide the body, a place where it never gets discovered - while still establishing alibi.. Now I only know of these cases from this video, but just like you, I think there's more than one offender, but I also think that some of the cases has to much similarity to not be connected...

If they put cameras in Wicklow Mountains and rural areas - there would be far less house robberies and crime. Rural areas are dumping ground for remains too. Unfortunately that wouldn't raise any revenue so the only cameras they put out are for speeding in traffic. Irish police is also great ( World leader ) in ambushing motorists for checking car tax and insurance..... Local gas station was robbed (during night) about 5 times and local Pubs get regularly hit.... Thuggery and vandalism is well established ( if not on rise ), and if criminals are ever caught they get a warning from a judge in a court. I feel really sorry for this girls and can only hope they are in better place now. Thanks for posting...
