For me, it's variety. If I do the same exercise routine every day, I start getting bored and don't push myself. I love the Les Mills Body Combat but I mix it up with spinning, treadmill and the Bowflex. In 12 days, I'll be 71 and feel great, blood pressure is perfect, short recovery times and haven't been sick since 1985. Happy Holidays Princess!

That is awesome!!! I am so proud of you 🙌👏👏👏🎉 And 100% - doing the same over and over gets soooo boring!! I even started using VR for my warm up at the gym -- the treadmill got 😴 very quick 😅

Full body tracking could help you motivate. Since it's more accurate, you can't be lazy in the moves you make. Kinda like with the Wii Sports you can play like it shows or you can sit on a couch and flick your wrist. User dedication is tricky. One side note, probably only the Sony mocpi is slightly cheaper than most.

oh I haven't checked that one out! And I agree - full body tracking would take it to the next level!

Hi, thanks for the tips! I also use my headset daily. My main activities are playing Beat Saber (mostly on Expert and sometimes dabbling in Expert+), and Holofit, which I combine with my cross-trainer. On two days a week, I also go cycling but still make time for Holofit (freestyle, while standing) and Beat Saber on those days. I live in Thailand and am learning Thai. I do the audio part of listening and repeating while running on my elliptical in Holofit. That makes both activities less boring-learning the language and the walking. Separately, I would have given up on them a long time ago, but the combination of language learning and fitness keeps me motivated. My fitness goals include achieving at least 10,000 steps daily and burning a little over 500 calories, though I often hit over 800. Additionally, I aim for 12 hours of standing, ensuring I move around for a few minutes each hour instead of staying seated. By the way, I just turned 67 and being retired gives me plenty of time to focus on fitness! With Beat Saber, it’s rarely boring because I download custom maps with fantastic music. I prefer maps that encourage full-body movement to slice cubes, rather than the ultra-fast ones.

Loved the reasons why you started working out and the things you tried to motivate yourself! One of the things that could be cool to try would be virtual guided classes on some of those apps🤔 If you've never heard of the Mighty Gym or even my own Gladiators, I'd recommend checking them out! Fitness in VR with real instructors to push you through adventurous classes are next level! With that said, yes, not everything is achievable through VR and, if the goal is to build muscle, you'll do far better using weights 💪 GREAT INSIGHT!

I love the new Supernatural live classes - it's fun to work together and it makes me work harder so I don't let my team down. For my runs, i've been building towards running a half marathon. I have also treat myself to new music when I run. For weight lifting, I have been challenging myself adding another set.

I've got some adjustable dumbbells' that I use regularly. And go for a walk/jog when its nice out occasionally. VR is just too fun but gotta add more to it, agree

Try putting Beat Saber on 90 degrees. It’s much better.

Even using the same apps There is a big difference between your workouts and mine. How hard do you hit? Try boxing or combat one day but hitting each punch with all the force you can. Really hitting, as if you were in a fight.

I thank you for your concern, but my power output averages over 9 ;) Recordings are often different as it adds delay to the headset and the registry goes down, and I focus on keeping my head still so the video is more comfortable to watch ;)

How about going for a vigorous hike?
@VikingPrincessVRКүн бұрын
Love my hikes - I scramble mountains almost every week!! Walking is so great for many things, including weight loss. So just depends on your goals if that's the best type of exercise for you 😊
