I've watched a lot of videos. Currently working on this with my horse. This is probably the best I've seen. Thank you

This was super helpful! All the other videos didn't explain how to get them moving the hindquarters etc.

Ryan ALWAYS explains things clearly, understandably..Saw a chennel called Dry Creek Wrangler school that offers a $1500, 5 day "class" in which 1) THey don;t teach riding 2) DOn;t teach training 3) Say what they teach is "horesmanship" 4) "humbly" invite the student to figure it out for themselves... Once owning a horse became a luxury, people with the proper "cowboy" clothes lined up to rip off horse owners. Ryan Rose is the real deal

Ryan is great, I agree, but I think you've missed the point of Dry Creek's efforts and his focus. Lots to learn out there from good sources that vary depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

This exercise is critical for good barrel times. IF the horse's nose is INSIDE the turn, their shoulder drops into the turn and they have to work harder to dig out of the turn. If you keep the horse's nose OUTSIDE the turn... much eaiser on the horse coming out of the turnj because they need less angulation

Hey Ryan!! I’ve got one that’s been very hard to get the lead changes with ! I’m just doing it for fun but I want to learn! Im always getting the front end but the hind end is always cross firing! Lol I need to start at the beginning! Do you have a link to all these videos teaching the requirements for the lead change? or if you have a website and subscription I’ll subscribe!

If I bend my horse to one way, he breaks the circle and will go whichever way I am pulling his head- how do I teach him not to do that?

So what's the actual cue to ask for it?? Or is it just getting them to shift their weight so much that they do it?

On the straight line between the two circles, tip the nose to the new inside of the direction they will be going, push the shoulders to the outside, then when you feel the timing, put your new outside leg back - like a regular canter departure- to push the hips to the inside of the new direction.

Try to time it to where the hind legs are off the ground when you cue over. That way the horse can land and strike off true, hind end first in the new lead which will flip the front naturally. If you time it poorly and ask when their hind end is planted already they will flip front end first and might not flip behind until you take the turn, sometimes not at all

you release the leg, shift your weight in your seat... watch some reining patterns and you can notice the exact cue

Those are not good laterals at all. Like if you are gonna say they need them to do changes they should probably be more balanced in them than this horse is. The horse seems almost stuck in the hind end.
