I’m fortunate enough to have found my heart horse, Buckwheat, who is 22 years old but don’t tell him that! He competed in rodeos for the majority of this life doing all the roping events and has even been used as a police horse. Within the past year I have found him and he has taught me so much, skills that no other being on this planet could. He is in great condition physically and mentally and loves barrel racing! I’m just getting into it and I almost have as much fun as Buckwheat does. So thank you Fallon for re-validating that having an underdog horse of sorts can and will change your life for the better. I wouldn’t be the same if Buckwheat didn’t come into my life and everyday at the barn I’m grateful for him and his heart. ❤️

Hi Fallon! Love the vlogs!! I totally agree with you on the staying off your horses face! I see so many people that have constant pressure with very little release... The first thing I teach is to stay off the horses face... You have a much happier horses that way.

Jamie Beaver so true it is so harsh on the horse being on their face. In any discipline I teach or ride I always teach riders to use their leg. Leg is so important to use as an aid.

Fallon...I've just made the decision after two babies and years out of the arena that I want to return...I am also just finding your SM...thank you so much for sharing. You are so positive and inspiring for a momma of 2 and years out of the arena. I'm not sure where to start so your advice of 1% per day towards the goal is wonderful especially for me feeling as if this is an unrealistic goal with 2 kids, jobs, and living on a farm... back to barrels in my goal for 2020. Thank you!!!

My horse was rescued from going to a kill pen. And when we adopted him he was very aggressive. He would bite you and he actually kicked my dad in the arm. He had eyes that made him look like a murderer. My parents wanted to get rid of him but I loved him even though he could’ve hurt me. So I started grooming him and petting him more and he then started to settle down. Then I started training him by lunging and saddle breaking and then after that we started jumping and just last year we started barrels. The reason is I realized that he wasn’t having fun anymore and so I tried something new he now he loves it. He’s not quite there yet of being very good but we are making progress every week. He no longer have that murder eye or his aggressive personality anymore. Thank you for making this video fallon.

My horse was in auction 7 times and we rescued her she was abandoned because no one likes her because she has string-halt. Now I have taught her the barrel pattern she is great it’s winter here in Alberta Canada so I can’t really ride her a lot it’s too icy and dangerous because I’m a newish rider I got a older horse she’s around 15 but I guess she’s kind of a pony she’s only 12 hands high but she’s amazing in my profile pic that’s her. Her name is jasper she’s a wild card but she’s getting better with trust I will take your tips and work them into my horse and maybe tweak them into her ability I don’t like copying well known people because for some reason it seems to set the bar to high so thank you. 🙂

Your advice is so helpful I do barrel racing and my family has no land and had no horses .. So I got a 15 year old mare she could no longer race with me do to arthritis and we had a strong bond so that was a huge set back, my mom is a single parent and I'm using a couple horses of my friend to make me better for practice.. And u give me hope to get a new horse and get back on track!! I love u

I really really really love tea and I’ve been wanting a palomino for so long so I’m definitely gonna be interested when you rehome her but I probably won’t be able to get her cause she’ll probably be like 10 thousand dollars but it’s ok. I need a horse with a lot of confidence because I have major anxiety so a horse that knows what it’s job and is super confident makes me more confident. Anyways love you Fallon you’re so amazing and I look up to you so much love you ♥️

I was not expecting this but you got me to the feels. My boyfriend got out of therapy a month ago for drug abuse. I was paying for everything for over 6 months because of that, so obviously was too broke to ride. I never had a horse of my own and my parents never understood why I was loving this sport. They were far from rich, so I had to work from 14 years old, clean those stalls and everything. I cried a lot wondering why God didn't want me to ride. But lately, I made just a bit more money, saved like I could, and hopefully I'm going to be abble to start classes again. I've found a old men 40 minutes away from home and he let me ride his two horses, one of them had a bit of power so I'll try to have fun with him as soon as summer comes back. I will be my own underdog story.

Omg fallon thank you for making this video. I do barrel racing and jumping. My paint quarter horse is very good at doing barrel racing but I have a fear with him going around the barrels because he has always been to clumsy and especially with the mud I’m even more afraid so maybe you might have advice on to get rid of that fear and also thank you for making this video because I have a thoroughbred filly that never raced but she has that spunk and energy to take off and I’ve been doing my best with her with the barrel patterns but nothing has really worked yet. Do hopefully this video you made will help me train her like you train your horses. Thank you once again for making this video and make sure to tell the squad I said hi and that I wish to be like you all some day XOXOXO love you all

I have a 32 yr old Arabian named koolwin, we got him from a kill pin he was left in a paddock for a year with no food and could of died, he is so sweet when we first got him u couldn't touch him without him rearing or trying to run, now u can do pretty much whatever u want to him, he is so sweet, he was a jumper he was in a lot of shows and my cousin is a champion jumper and my horse beat her at a show, we are working on barrels he will canter to them and trot around them and I'm so proud he has come a long way is 9 months

Girl!! You've just shown up for me in a whole new way. Thought you were just a funny barrel racing expert!! I've read all those books. Pam Grout's book E2 speaks to the reticular system that what we put our attention on we create more of. You're the best. I look forward to meeting in person one of these days. ❤️❤️ Sloane in Santa Barbara Ca
