The reverse method is actually the only one that really makes sense to do as the other are really only gluing a piece of paper to wood ,so you can’t do different coloured wood , I prefer making a stencil and painting it on 🤷♂️ to each there own ,thank you for sharing 😎

True. It doesn't matter for this video but it does matter if people think the other 3 are transfers and go into the crafting community using the terms incorrectly. I can see people getting really confused if they think gluing paper onto wood is the same as a transfer.

Good evening, Ms. Deidre. I've been following you on Facebook and just found you on KZbin. I've really enjoyed watching your videos and seeing what you make. You have inspired me to make make Reverse Transfer to wood signs. I decided to start making them and selling them at our monthly events in my small town and other craft fairs that my county does through the year. Yesterday was my first attempt at making them. I'd like to tell you my process and see if you can help me to figure out what I did wrong and how I can fix it. I found Bible verses and inspirational quotes that I want to use. I used a font generator to generate the words, copy and pasted them to Word, did a 180° flip, and then printed the pages out. I found scrap wood to fit each phrase the way I wanted them, cut them, and sanded them down. Of the 8 boards, I did a "stain" with 1 part brown acrylic paint and 3 parts water. After I applied the stain to the wood, I wiped it off immediately. For the other 5 boards, I painted 4 with acrylic paint and 1 with some house paint that I had sitting around. Since I live in 100°+ weather in Texas, I was able to put the wood outside to dry for about 30 minutes to an hour and they dried well. When I took them inside, I applied the coat of Mod Podge, placed the paper down, used a stiff card to press the air bubbles out and left them to dry over night and all day. When I got home this evening, I began with one of the stained boards. I used a sponge to apply water to the paper and began using the sponge to gently rub the paper off, which worked. Then I noticed that the letters were rubbing off, so I switched to using my fingers, which worked, but again, I noticed that the letters were rubbing off. Next, I did the same process on the acrylic painted boards, and again, I found that the letters were rubbing off. I went back and was searching for a video that might explain what I did wrong and how I could fix it, but I didn't see one. Can you please guide me to a video that will help me, or if you have the time to respond and guide me, I would truly appreciate it? Sincerely, Christina Smith
